http://www.guitarport.comand now want to record some of my own jams...
but am having a shitty time getting things configured ...the guitar works fine, of course, as does the guitar port..
but when i try to record with software like guitartracks it doesn't seem to pick up the sound or something...is there something im missing in how to re-jig my computer to get that going...?
i know its kind of a vague question, but i thought id ask...
see if you folks have run into somthing like this before..

you might want to check to see what midi channels you have set. You also might want to check your sound card. Just a thought?

ok...
the sound card should be fine to do this...as it works just great with the guitar port...
i can play my electic through my computer using the altec-lansing speaker system i have like an amp..works like a charm, and sounds great..
but it's just the 'being able to record it' thing that has me confused..
i'll check the midi channels tonite...
tho i'm not exactly sure what to do when i check em.. ;)yep...im new to this sort of thing....

no, it's cool man, i'm not exactly sure how you need them set either, but I would look into the manual for sure, if I were you. Try and find out what is what in regards to the way you need to set those, etc. It's not your SC or your speaker system. It's the way your recording device, something like Sound Forge, is not being able to pick up the MIDI.
