do a low-carb / high protein diet and work out for an hour or so every day. do weights on one day and cardio the next and alternate.
after a week of this you'll start feeling energetic and you'll start noticing a difference.. so will others.

Do excercises that make you shift the weight of your own body. It'll be harder to start with but the results will feel more noticeable.

squash and running

Tai Chi
It's good exercise, plus it will improve your balance, and concentration. If you stick with it, it becomes self defense.

your getting fat? I woud suggest not eating so many carbs, then adjusting your diet so that you don't eat after 7PM. I would also suggest laying off beer and drinking some alternative beverage as well as getting plently of sleep and doing moderate excercise. I am now at 156 lbs. but used to be 181. Lost it in Europe. ;)

The website is not very good, but his book is good.
Its tough to do, low GI carbs and no refined foods eapecially sugar, but it works.

when you're at work.. drink water like you've been in the desert for weeks... i drink about 10-20 12 oz glasses a day at work, then do some sort of excercise (preferrably in the morning, if you do it before bed it won't be as effective at burning calories). The water will keep your system break down what you're eating too so it will be able to break down food better.... water is the key my man.... you can never drink too much (unless there isn't a bathroom around, then you can probably drink too much)

oh, btw, since we're sharing weight loss successes I used to be 215, and im now 165...

carbs are essential to your diet. If you totally eliminate carbs you can relly screw yourself up.
Its where you get them from that matters. If you eat food that is processed and refined, like white flour and such, your body easily converts them to sugar and then to fat. The reason is refined foods have most of the fibre removed, which naturally balances the sugars.
Its the reason why its cool to eat whole fruit but not fruit juice. Fruit is high in carbs but also high in fibre. When you drink the juice your only getting the carbs.
Its important to not diet by reducing calories as your body adjusts its metabolism to the amount of calories you intake.
