yep the same japanese who declared war on the united states by launching a suprise attack on pearl harbor.
dropping those bombs was a mistake, but we'll never do that again.
and dropping insults about heritage is so not cool.

good link. here is what Maysoon Shukri had to say.
Maysoon Nejhat Shukri, a member of Iraq's Turkmen minority, fled Iraq in 1988 when her father was killed. She believes her father, an army general, was executed by the government.
oh by the way... she wasn't talking about the u.s. nice country iraq is.

If in your little analogy the Thug is al queda, then why does the US not launch a pre-emptive attack on N.Korea?
N.Korea is proven to have weopons of mass destruction and would be more likely to supply terrorists with them than Saddam Hussein who is a sworn enemy of Islamic fundamentalists.
How about pakistan, they have the bomb too and Al qaeda is flourishing in pakistan.why not launch an attack against Pakistan?
your arguments hold no water.
admit that it's for oil and that bush has a personal vendetta against Saddam for trying to assainate bush sr.

the situation then was much different than it is now.
i just cringe when i see you people making personal attacks on others simply because they don't hold the same beliefs as you. can you not see the hypocracy?
- k0na_an0k0
the difference is north korea doesn't pose as much of a threat.
say they launch a nuke. within 30 seconds we can see it. we scramble fighters/interceptors from the dozen plus sites throughout the 38 minutes it will take to reach the u.s. throughout the east and intercept their ONE or TWO warheads. done.
the difference is sadaam can sell them and have them brought over on a ship and detonated off the coast, or, open a vile of a chemical weapon and let the breeze from the sea carry it to land.
big difference.

the hipocracy lies in spouting a pro-war stance but not having the balls to go over seas and start killing innocent Iraqi civilians.

the whole - "you're not a politician - so shutup " point is so stupid
as much so as "well if you don't like what the government is doing - then leave the country"
sharing your thoughts and ideas should still be allowed. wether they are factual or not, wether they are biased or not - i feel sorry for the individuals that think people shouldn't express there views on anything unless they are a proven expert in the topic of conversation
but you know what I'm not an expert on what people should be able to express, so by all means, don't listen to this but I think Mac's are better then PC's - okay - I know I'm allowed to say that right?

N.Korea has a better chance of doing something extremely stupid like just plastering S.Korea with WMD. I think we're trying to avoid that.
But situations are esclating. I would have rather seen us gone to war with N Korea and force a more diplomatic solution for iraq, doesn't look like thats gonna happen.

it's all about the Greenback my friends, all about the money, but please those of you American haters, don't even try to say that the USA does more bad than it does good. Sure our foreign policy is not perfect, but be 100% rest assured we do more good for the world that bad. You pretty much wouldn't be typing your posts if not for US Technology to be honest.

where on earth was it ever said we were just going to go over their and start bombing thier civilian cities and start killing innocent civilians?
where?

JP is a paranoid fuck. He's much more a viable risk at this time then saddam.

"the difference is sadaam can sell them and have them brought over on a ship and detonated off the coast, or, open a vile of a chemical weapon and let the breeze from the sea carry it to land.
"so why can't n.korea do the same thing?
what about pakistan? as far as we know Bin laden is hiding out there. He has huge support from pakistanis and there is a huge likelyhood that some of his
followers have access to nuclear weapons.

is there any doubt about the things Saddam has done? no. and noone of us that protest war is defending Saddam.
read some more.

kona, we never did. That's just the general mis-Informed opinion.

saddam supports pakistan terrorism.

N Korea is not as much of a threat as Iraq -haha good one
dude, that makes no sense - so if NKorea starts warring with the US they can't sell the nukes you know they have - why not? yet Sadam for sure will sell the nukes you can't find
trust me NKorea poses a much greater threat to the US then Iraq - that's partially why they don't necesarily want to go there

Haa haa, the funny thing is that you can say NO until you are blue in the face, again, does anyone have anyway of stopping the US Military? Regardless of the retaliation some so-called terrorist will take. Whom, the UN? Please don't make me laugh?
- k0na_an0k0
i've searched all of the BBC and i can't find one article that states from the u.s. something like
"we are waging war to kill the innocent civilians of iraq. our million dollar smart weapons will be strategically detonated on schools... preferably for the blind, and churches durning sunday school."
yep... couldn't find anything like that on the BBC.

oh prometheus beat me to it

"where on earth was it ever said we were just going to go over their and start bombing thier civilian cities and start killing innocent civilians? "
Do you honestly think that the Iraqi army will roll out into the dessert where they will be clear targets to engage the US military?
they will be intermeshed with the civilian population, trying to defend their cities and homes.
there will be no clear targets-casualties will be huge.
