"sharing your thoughts and ideas should still be allowed. wether they are factual or not, wether they are biased or not - i feel sorry for the individuals that think people shouldn't express there views on anything unless they are a proven expert in the topic of conversation"
yeah, you're right... much has been resolved in the plethora of anti-war threads that have been posted on NT. please continue the same tired (my sources are better than your sources) bullshit... forgive my quite accurate obser-fucking-vation.

also;
I doubt N.Korea would sell off WMD. I think what makes them such a high risk threat is they would use them with out hesitation. JP has already promissed if we went to war with NK it would turn Nuclear quickly.

so you say no to being allowed to share thoughts
nobody is saying you have to read these threads - nobody is saying that anything will come of any discussion in this thread
my point is that it's stupid to say you can talk shit about politics but you can talk as much as you want about design related issues - there isn't always a definitive resolution that comes from discussing issues
but you think people shouldn't have that right unless deemed credible.
okay i'll shut up then - sorry for typing this

"so you say no to being allowed to share thoughts"
i had to search my posts to see where i said those words...
didn't get an A in citing ppl, did ya there bud?
i'm saying if you are going to argue or debate, work toward a resolution rather than attacking people personally. i don't see how you are any different than the people you are protesting.

"much has been resolved in the plethora of anti-war threads that have been posted on NT."
i bet there have been plenty of people who were sitting on the fence about the issue and were able to take a stance either way based on what they read in here.
we are designers. we are each others peers. Should we as citizens, as voters not talk about issues that are important to us? Can we not talk about last night's basketball game because we are not athletes?
- mitsu0
"Can we not talk about last night's basketball game because we are not athletes? "
never seen much hatred come of these types of threads... anti/pro war, religion.. sorry, i just haven't seen many intellegent and mature talks about this yet here.
hey, if you can show us how to discuss sensitive issues like a mature adult, then by all means... take the stage... i'll support you whether i back your position or not.

"The U.S.-Iraqi relationship is . . . important to our long-term political and economic objectives," Assistant Secretary of State Richard W. Murphy wrote in a September 1988 memorandum that addressed the chemical weapons question.
That would be after Saddam used chemical weapons on both Iran and the Kurdish population.

"(...) He describes his many passions in the words of a Portuguese poet, as "le devoir d'inquiétude," or the work of uneasiness.(...)".
Villepin knows Fernando Pessoa? Veto this motherf**kng war!

dude,
someone duck i think - said that (paraphrasing) unless you are media and/or politican you shouldn't even discuss these matters
i think that is dumb - you quoted me so i assumed you were taking his stance -apologies if i miss-represented your view point - but to what you're saying i don't know if it's possible to actually get there (meaning a resolution to the problem) - but i believe anyone should be allowed to voice there opinion
anyway debating this doesn't make any attempt resolve things either - i don't why you are accusing me of me being like the people i'm cutting down - because i'm just saying anyone should be allowed to voice there opinions
- mitsu0
"said that (paraphrasing) unless you are media and/or politican you shouldn't even discuss these matters "
i said that, but my point was that unless you have concrete evidence, resolution on here is futile... and who better to provide concrete evidence than media or politician.
as far as comparing you to those you oppose, i'm sorry, but that was actually directed toward another member of this board. please accept my apology.

Bluejam has a very good point that many people seem to forget.

"i said that, but my point was that unless you have concrete evidence, resolution on here is futile... and who better to provide concrete evidence than media or politician. "
who's talking about resolution?
we are just having a discourse on the topic of war. What is wrong with a good old fashioned debate?

"sorry, i just haven't seen many intellegent and mature talks about this yet here."
I have. Maybe you are only reading your own posts.
I must reiterate how important people like you and me are to this war. Public debate is necessary in order to formulate our arguments, which in turn are necessary in order for us to pursuade our MPs to listen to us. Cynicism is a cop out.

in regard to not seeing mature and intelligent talks:
"I have. Maybe you are only reading your own posts. "
thanks for helping me prove my point.
