Does anyone know how to create an onion skin effect in a flash (.swf) movie?

I did it yesterday. Put oiur animation in a symbol and take your main timeline and put a bunch of symbols on different layers. Spread out the keyframes and work the opacity the way you want.

make a new mc with your animation and put a stop action in the first frame.
put it on the timeline and duplicate the layer like 10 times.
name mc's from mc1 to mc10then on frame one put his code :
_root.mc.play();on frame two :
_root.mc2.play();and so on..

oh yes, adjust alpha level for each mc from 10 to 100

you could also do it with a bit of OOP or a function. ie
duplicate the movieclip then set the alphas to last alpha - (n) (n being what ever number you want) then you could just set the movement of each to be slightly slower than the last... yeah It prolly needs pictures and an example. But I am pretending to be busy so I can't really do one for you, however, If you want one doing mail me... It'll take about five mins or so.
