you wake up one morning, just a normal day or so you think, walk outside to find that everyone has has vashished, no trace of life at all, not a soul.
No explantion of the disapearance can be found. what would you do, what would your strategy be, where would you go?

drive myself down to steve jobs' office and use his G5 and 32" flat panel display.

Go to the nearest exotic car dealership and take one for a spin.

I would discover that the world had been taken over by zombies. Then I would get sued.

if there were no life whatsoever, i think most people would just kill themselves.

I'd like to take back my first response and enter a new response. I think I would get totally naked, THEN take an exotic car for a joyride.

this is something i have always thought about and have started preparing for this possible eventuality. i would first of all create a base for myself, near a natural supply of fuel, fresh water and food as power would run out in a day or two. i would like my base to be a castle of some sort. from there i would accost a vehicle capable of emitting large amounts of noise like a political vehicle or police car, as to attract any possible forms of life. then i would set out to find human life, starting with uk, then getting a speedboat across to france and therefore most of the world. this would be my main mission. madness through lonliness would be an extreme possibility. in which case i would find a monkey [our own close relatives] as a friend whom i would teach to smoke tabs and drive him about with me. this monkey would be kept on a lead for a majority of the time to prevent him from fucking off. i would not, under any circumstances, like to lose my monkey.

top prize to chook so far....

I agree. I would have never thought of adopting a monkey.
Good Stuff!

I guess I'd go back and re-read these:
"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." (1 Corinthians Ch.15)
"...Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds..." (1 Thessalonians Ch.4)

Oh, I don't know, so many things to do, so little time. Obviously i would begin by randomly distributing artefacts from the natural history museum and british museum across the surface of the globe so that the next intelligent species to rule the world will have a few puzzles to solve. Next I will find where they stored Walt Disney's head and turn the temperature up just a bit. Then I will teach myself to juggle, it's one of those things I never had time for before. And finally i shall read up on how to fly a space shuttle so that I can see the world in all its glory whilst I smoke one last cigar.

I would start work right away on a giant monument in my image, as the last man of a great species. something like the monuments of easter island, but bigger, more heroic as a testament to the human race.
This would keep me occupied and keep my senses.
