Suggestions
Maybe look at not having the txt zoom on the rollovers -- try something new
and on the cpu tip, would could look at spacing the transitions out so all the movement doesn't happen at once. These are only suggestions so don't feel you have to change anything -- as long as the client is happy and most of all you are happy with the work you've done!

design: 1
flash: 5
- Scotty5120
Wow.
Thats the lowest yet (1)
That must mean this site is the worst youve ever seen.
- Scotty5120
Why the "1" rating.
- unknown0
shit scotty, i know if someone gave me a 1 if i had a design like that...id find out THEIR websites url and post that up for review b/c they obviously have a website like nonother to give such a shitty rating. i can't see this site being anything below a 5. the 1 rating goes to an award winning geocities site. i agree with alot of what their saying, but this site has incredible potential.

loadtime: 0
Design : 2
Flash skills: 6
come on mate.. for this type of site.. that load time would kill a horse, the colors are bad together.. the font are killing each other and fhe font choice is bad...
lay out... decent..anyway....
- eric_w0
Still a 2 for the site.
4 for the flash work. The transitions could've been done much better so that the load time was cut down.
Load Time Load Time Load Time I don't care if they have broadband or not. Let's get to the meat now.
A geo site is not in the same class as this.
The rating system is on client sites done by designers.
Not mom and pop with a free geo account.

it seems you've got people talkin so i have to add my 2cents.
you're flash skills are obviously top notch. however, i think you need to ask yourself if the audience of the site will be impressed or patient enough for that type of look.
too often do I see the "hi-tech" look being applied to any and every industry. there are certain styles for certain brands.

for my untrained eye it looks very well made. smooth and clean. Designwise it ain't the bomb, but this is not supposed to be some arty site so I think U did well.
slow yes
bad?no
7.5just my 2 cents

Good input:
So far the audience is loving it...
Most have broadband have not seen anything llike it before.
The audience is EMS technicians. You'd be surprised how much free time they have on their hands.
We wanted to show them something over the top......

sounds u have made the right site for the right people
good work Scotty

"top notch" flash skills?
- unknown0
what isnt top notch about it? his attention to grads, shadows, bevel detail and motion tweens couldnt be anymore on point. the only thing that gives this site a bad taste in the mouth is the color scheme. and color can make a world of a difference.
scotty, i would definitely kill the green grad bg. i think it throws it all off balance. maybe make it faded metallic look like the panels in your flash.

Is this newspost your only usability testing for the site?
Send 20 random people to your site, give them 15mins on the site and then take them away and ask them usability questions...
How many products does this company have?
What's the latest news?
What does this company sell?
Where is the company located?
See how well they do. It's good to ask here but do some real testing that analyzes how well the information is communicated.

good point Mick
nice method
- Scotty5120
I agree - nice one Mick
I will do that.

- Ctrl_Z0
I'm going to disagree with Mick on this.
I think getting 2's and 1's from your peers...is a MUCH better way to test the sites userability.
HAHA.
- Scotty5120
Yes.
I like getting 1's and 2's

haven´t gone throught the entire thread BUT i think most of the poeple here do their rating from the "designers side". maybe we should sometimes try to think like clients who can´t tell a difference between bullshit and design. and for that i guess it´s really ok and even if it doesn´t hit everybodies taste it looks like you´ve put a lot of effort into it and if the client likes it then you are definately on the right track with what you do!
