As there are many clothes horses here so I ask: Where can i get a suit?
Looking for a nice pin-striped fitted suit for not a ton of cash.

thought wearing suits to weddings is pretty common..maybe only in my part of the world...never been to a wedding where a guy had on a tee or anything

ok.
My suit now cost me $9 and it's awesome. I bought a ton of suits in thrift stores when I was in a band. They served their purpose but they were all pretty much crap and fell apart due to sweat and booze.
Now I am looking for something cut right. Digging through mountains of crap at the Treausure Trove is getting old. I don't mind spending $100-250 on a nice suit.
What am I going to do with the suit? I don't wear a suit everyday but I might if there was some super fancy presentation. Maybe I'll start wearing one everyday to piss "you'll turn into a cunt" guy off. I doubt it. It's nice to have a suit for weddings and random family social events. All my friends are engaged now so I need to be ready anyways.
Thanks for all the reponses. I'll check some of these places out. I live in the NYC/DC so not sure about the london shops. If you still got more ideas, let me have them.

For that price you're gonna have to look pretty hard. I got two suits, a gray Armani which cost a fortune but when you put it on you feel like Satan, and a chocolate brown DKNY that was only $299. Look around. Men's Warehouse will actually have some pretty good stuff at better prices than most.

Have you guys no imagination? You can still dress smartly and look pretty sharp without wearing a suit. Just use your imagination and go out and shop for christ's sake.
And erm... how can you piss me off by wearing a suit every day if I've never seen or met you or will ever be likely to in my lifetime?

NYC and DC must have more suits than any other areas.
It's not hard.
If you have $200 and don't care that much, go to Macy's, H&M or an outlet mall and you can find something that's good enough quality.

A good suit will cost you $500+.
A terrible suit will cost you $100.

The most important thing with a suit is the fit, not the brand.
I find high street fashion shops like Topman/Zara/All Saints do a fantastic out-of-the-box cut for your average joe slimmish guy. You'll get a suit in Topman or Zara for the lower end of your spectrum and All Saints for a bit out of your given budget.
With suits, try them on, and depending on your height, get the trousers properly taken up/in.
- Yeah, Nordstroms tailors anything you buy. Service is great.formed

I often don't buy a suit. I buy a nice, interesting blazer and find cheap trousers to match. I'll spend most of the money on the blazer I want, then wander around the high street shops to find a colour/pattern match on the trousers somewhere cheap. If I can't find the trousers to match closely I take the blazer back (before tailoring).

- +1 blazers are a good choice for more casual stuff. Suits are for laywers/sales guys and weddings/funeralsmonNom
