No skin cancer!
The thing beside my nose that clearly looks like basal cell carcinoma showed no cancer after the biopsy and is just a benign mole. What a relief, especially after the week I've had last week.
Ended up in the ER last Thursday afternoon with the most horrible stomach pain you can imagine. Might have been food poisoning, dehydration, and stomach irritation from spicy wings I had after a 24 hour water fast.
I couldn't even lay in any position to get comfortable. Could not stand up straight or fully exhale. Three up three times at home, couldn't even keep down Pepto Bismol. An Immediate Care doctor had one look at me and said "you don't look good," wondered if I had an obstruction in my stomach or intestines. Sent me to the ER quickly, had to wait a couple hours, couldn't sit still, could barely walk, and right as I was throwing up in the lobby, my wife arrived back after taking our kids to a neighbor's house, and right as a nurse came with a wheelchair to get me to a room because I couldn't even stand up.
Pretty much had a full blown panic attack on the way to the room, balling my eyes out the pain was so intense.
Hooked me up to an IV, drew blood for tests, gave me fluids and nausea meds, and morphine, which did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Then gave me Dilodid (like 6-8x stronger than Morphine if you're not familiar with it) and within 15 minutes it was like all the pain faded away, I got drowsy and fell asleep.
Had a CT scan and x rays, and NOTHING. No obstruction, no organ issues, no heart issues. Stayed for about four more hours, pain meds wore off and pain came back somewhat, decided against staying the night, went home at 12:30am, my wife picked up my. prescriptions at 2:30am, took them by 3am, and a melatonin, felt better, fell asleep, woke up at 9:30 Friday, still really worn out but the pain was completely gone.
Craziest pain I have ever experienced. If they had found something that required surgery, I would have been like "DO IT. DO IT RIGHT NOW. WHATEVER IT TAKES"
- Great nose news! Second issue sounds like gall bladder stones. My partner and some of her family had them for years. Worst pain they ever had.Fax_Benson
- Fist two took yrs to diagnose. 3rd one told the doctors and it was diagnosed straight away. Then my dad had same symptoms that would appear from nowhere.Fax_Benson
- we told him to ask for gall bladder check. That was it. Simple op - fixed. Can be set off by fatty / spicy food.Fax_Benson
- Well, that was quite an adventure.CyBrainX

- Thanks everyone! The nose news was such a relief. Fax_Benson - would a gall bladder issue have shown up on a CT scan?mg33
- Good going stoplying! I get my moles checked every year. I've got 50+ so in the risky category for mole owners. :Dmg33
- @mg - I think it depends if the stones are big enough. Partner had an ultrasoundFax_Benson
