The biggest idiots and losers of them all is us. How did Trump even make it as far as he did? His existence is purely down to the stupidity and the downright arrogance of thinking 'we' can't lose. Ever.
It was exactly rhe same with Brexit here in the UK. Tons of so-called 'stupid people' voted for it, yet it seems that the arrogance of the majority made it much, much worse than anyone could have imagined. Punches for all the 'clever' people for pretending not to be stupd!

    • No.palimpsest
    • haha, we're all fucking idiots. Stop pretending we're not.Ianbolton
    • Whatever gets you through the day.palimpsest
    • I agree that part of the problem is that the self-identified “smart” people aren’t capable of defeating this maniac.
      ********
    • Nope. This isn’t why at all.monospaced
    • victim blaming yourself is a weird copeimbecile
    • i'm no victim. I accept everyone has their own perspectives/needs/w... idyllic lives or whatever. We can have conflict here and accept our differences.Ianbolton
    • The fact that you couldn’t describe what actions ‘we’ should have taken to prevent trumps rise says everything. Acting like nobody knew or tried is ... naivemonospaced
    • Of course we're naive. How do we stop the rise of populist leaders like Trump in an age were technology fragments information into whatever you want to believe.Ianbolton
    • I'm certainly naive to knowing how we could've done things different, but the current political divides around the world doesn't look greatIanbolton
    • Speak for yourself. But don’t lump me or anyone else with your skewed take on this.monospaced
    • Although you're almost completely wrong, there are people who took oaths to uphold justice. Judge Merchan could have sentenced Trump to a long prison term.CyBrainX
    • The justice department could have had a policy to hold everyone accountable equally instead of putting Trump above the law.CyBrainX
    • There are many other examples like this, about people who aren't Trump supporters in spirit but put him above the law anyway.CyBrainX
    • ^^^also a drug dealer threatening witnesses would have served time in jail for witness intimidation, and I'm not sure that is appealable.cherub
    • putting someone in jail for disobeying a direct court order is much more direct than a prison sentence, which he would certainly have appealed.cherub
    • that was also skipped, and this respecting of persons is not allowed in a real justice system. defeats the whole purpose.cherub
    • True, but this wasn’t down to the common voter. We are in no position to stop this outside of voting. Implying otherwise is naive.monospaced
    • i'm confusing stupidity with naivety.Ianbolton
    • Still waiting.monospaced
    • You want us to fix your problems on a public design forum?!

      LOL
      ********
    • How tf he is not in jail and his "empire" gone, after how much he broken the law in his first mandate?!

Fix your justice, voting and education systems ;)
      ********
    • The error is in assuming your side is smart and the other is stupid. Almost nobody is stupid, they just have a different perspective.monNom
    • The right way to do it is to steelman their argument so that you can make a counter argument in good faith.monNom
    • Dismissing an argument as stupid, and for stupid people, makes it impossible to find a shared-way forward.monNom
    • It becomes a contest of power and domination. Of stamping out ‘stupid’ ideas and the people who have them.monNom
    • I'm smart! Not like everybody says... like dumb... I'm smart and I want respect!palimpsest
    • Ok, mono, so voting doesn’t work? Good to know, won’t bother voting!
      ********
    • Hooked on phonics.palimpsest
    • lol @ arguing in good faith when the other side denies basic reality
      ********
    • I didn’t say that nb. I said outside of voting what can anyone do? Calling people stupid for not stopping Trump is what’s stupid.monospaced
    • This whole post is stupid AF because it implies democrats who voted against Trump were stupid for allowing Trump to winmonospaced
    • Your first sentence makes no sense. What could or should have been done in 2015-2016 that wasn’t done? STILL WAITINGmonospaced
    • You’re also waiting for an apology. Sorry for calling you stupid. I was having a ‘day’ and the arrogance of laughing at stupid Trump voters felt conflictingIanbolton
    • It’s like, for me anyway, constantly pointing the finger at religious nutcases and saying - if you only you could see science for all its beauty and progress.Ianbolton
    • Whatever more lies you need to tell yourself. You called yourself a loser. And the rest of us. So just keep your woe-is-me victim whining in your lifeimbecile
    • Haha. At least I had the balls to apologise you stupid idiot. ;-)Ianbolton
