    • The machines (& notch) have been out for a few days.

    • I'd prefer a little 'pop' up notch, like a flash from a retro camera, that pokes out from the casing.shapesalad
    • Shape I agree popup when you need it not there blocking shit and being annoying 99.9% of the time for no good reason other than lazy engineering_niko
    • my eyes would grow blisters if I had to look at this thing 12 hours a daydrgs
    • u def holding it wrngnb
    • We're going to be seeing a lot of these photos for the next couple months.desmo
    • It's just a software problem says the Apple tardi_was
    • they just need to make a switch in macos sys prefs that crops full screens by amount of notch pixels...uan
    • ^ i think that just involves setting the screen ratio to 16:10 - i'm guessing that's an option in this gamekingsteven
    • For peak performance the pro settings are fullscreen and native rez *cough cough*.. sorry, totally not a RL nerd. No idea where that came from.garbage
    • But seriously, this is the first time that the tab has annoyed me from a distance.garbage
    • On one hand this is a problem for obvious reasons, you can never see 16x9 scale full screen w/o this w/o letterboxing it?.. on other hand that hud is too tightprophetone
    • Rocket League? More like Blockit Leaguestoplying
    • The native resolution is closer to 16:10, so a 16:0 would still have black bars no problem, even at full screen.monospaced
    • 16:9 that is. The notch wouldn't get in the way.monospaced
    • @prophet the aspect ratio is 1728:1117, 16:10 + 74px notch, closer to 3:2 including the notch. it's awkward as fuck but there's some logic to it.kingsteven
    • there would need to be an option in natively compiled games to drop the viewport by 74px (rather than vertically centring) when in 16:10 to make sense thoughkingsteven
    • ya... there is a setting to avoid this. so it's just like a normal screen.inteliboy
    • There is, but any high level player is more concerned with frame rate / fov than the scoreboard. It is annoying though.garbage
    • black bars, no notch. i want to see the edge of the screen properly. it drives me nuts when something fucks with the viewport geometry.sted
    • @garbage, there are no high level players using computers that came out two weeks ago. i am a shite fps'r with a MBP on order i write this from my gaming pckingsteven
    • looking forward to gaming on it if it's a possibility but if i do it'll be on an external monitor. constantly hearing woes from gamers on pc laptops. get a job!kingsteven
    • also the resolution/ fps argument is moot on macs and i'm sure apple breaking in to the gaming world is a concern of theirs def. not good thing vs pro designkingsteven
    • lol yes and I'm not defending the tab. It's just such a low-demand game that nobody playing high-level is worried about it. It's all settings.garbage
    • I play on a Switch / 72" tv and managed to beat a pro that I caught 1v1 casual. I knew their setup because they're a popular youtuber that..garbage
    • ..does tutorials. It was a fluke, but those people are so dialed in that they are not looking at the score at any time. But also yeah, fuck the tab.garbage
    • Gaming on Mac?? let me again laugh at you guysi_was
    • this is so badmilfhunter
    • hah, nice @garbage. @i_was you get a new computer and you get some games for it... how it was and always will bekingsteven
    • @i_was, the new Macs are geared toward gaming performance.monospaced
    • @kingsteven loli_was
