I picked up Blender in August and I've been learning and liking it a lot. I definitely need a PC for this type of work as it took me 12 hours to render these 10 seconds of animation.
Also, signs you're getting old, almost nobody knows who this is:

- I've been getting into Blender because I've heard that its NLE alone is worth looking into, but honestly I just kept getting..garbage

- There's a whole science to reducing render times for animation. limit indirect bounces to 1, bake high poly geo into normal maps, use denoiser at lower samplesmonNom
