    My mom is visiting and I love her and love having her here, but she spends most of her time browsing Facebook and watching random videos and making sure she tells me about whatever it is: "here's a guy who hair with a blowtorch." "Here's a little puppy barking." "Ooh Nutella ice cream" "can you believe Greg [a childhood friend I haven't seen in 28 years] looks like this now??" Yeah I can definitely believe that someone I last saw as a 12 year old looks different now that they are in their late 30s. I can definitely believe that he gained weight, had the ability to grow a beard, grew in height, and aged no differently than other humans.

    It's excruciating.
