Let me see if I can explain this weird thing that is happening to my retina display 27'' imac...

I am working on illustrator, using the dark grey application background. I happen to have a document with a black background and a white shape on top of it. I keep the window in the same place, meaning the black shape with the white thing on top for some time, let's say 10 minutes, and then, when I scroll around the document, the shape remains in the dark grey app background.

It stays there for like 15 seconds, slowly fading away. How weird is that? I tried taking a screen-shot but it does not show. It must be some kind of hardware glitch on the retina, like when you stare at a light bulb for some seconds and keep seeing the filament when you look in other direction.

I tried to google it but found nothing. Any ideas?
