Steve Buscemi lives on my street (2 blocks down), so we have run into each other a number of times walking down the sidewalk or at the local bagel shop. Just kind on nod at at each other.
The first time we passed each other on the sidewalk, we did the awkward, "i'm trying to get out of your way, you're trying to get out of mine, but we both zig and zag to the same side of the sidewalk thing... twice."John Turturro also lives a few blocks away, so we see him out and about. The first time we saw him we were standing on the same street corner waiting for the walk signal. I discreetly attempted to tell my wife who we were standing by, but she couldn't hear me and, rather loudly said, "WHO?!?" So I repeated myself, and then she realized who it was. By then John was just staring right at us. We ended up going the same way, sharing the sidewalk for a few blocks. We tried to 'play it cool,' but felt like doofuses.
