  Multi-faceted city. Pretty much anything you want to see/do/eat can be found. Lots of public parks (I think the most of any city in America?), and Forest Park (second only to Central Park in size) has a Zoo, Science Center, Art Museum, and lots of other stuff for free.

  Many different neighborhoods and cultural areas of various historical import. Strange politics at times, and quite high poverty in the city proper, as most middle-classians have left for the strip-mall infested counties. I live in the city for that very reason, although the public education system is pretty much bunk right now and I'm getting worried for my own kid...

  Nice underground house scene, if you know where to look...
