Whenever I see someone with the latest iPhone I think to myself, "this person makes poor financial decisions." Exceptions are the super-rich and people who work in mobile development related fields.
The absolute BEST feature about the iPhone 6 is that it will push down the price of the iPhone 5.
- lots of people get them when they sign a contract and it only ends up being $200 or lessmonospaced
- all of the top smartphones are about $600+ without onemonospaced
- Yep, but if you can get the latest one for $200 on contract, you can get the previous model for much less, often free.nb
- In Canada, that's how it works. I assume it's similar in most countries.nb
- In Canada, the phone company forces you into a more expensive plan if you want the deal on the phone. You're still paying for it.nb
- Example: $70/month for the cheapest iPhone plan. Bring your own phone and the same plan is $45. Over 2 years, that's $600nb
- Right, I'm just saying that your assumption that they make a poor financial decision for $200 is odd.monospaced
- But I see what you're saying. Those damn phone companies! It's simply not an Apple-specific issue your'e talking about.monospaced
- It's my money!! I do what I want!!
http://www.thatlittl…pango - Yeah, it's not really an iPhone issue. But iPhone is the only phone that I can recognize in public. The rest all look the same to me.nb
- It's your money. You can do what you want. And I'm allowed to think of your purchase as a waste of money.nb

Or you can continue to renew your contract every year for a discount on the phone.

I have a new Sprint program where I pay $110 per month unlimited everything.
I can also turn my phone in once a year in Nov and get anything I want. I just pay tax on it.
So far I think this deal is the best.
Only down side is in my area Verizon Coverage is better than Sprint coverage.
This Nov I will be looking at the iPhone 6 or Note 4 still not sure. Or maybe I'll check out one of the Windows phones
- 100 bucks per month?!?!?!?pango
- $110HijoDMaite
- I pay less than $70 a monthmonospaced
- How is that a good deal? I pay $40 for unlimited call, text, 3G(pretty much everything). With speed cap at 6gb/month.pango
- i pick up a new phone every year. i like new phones.HijoDMaite
- Don't look at Australian contract prices then...MrT
- Geeezz 110$ !benfal99
- jesus christ man, I'm on sprint too with unlimited data/ text and I'm paying $60 bucksMiguex
- I left att because I was paying $90 a month which I considered to be A LOTMiguex
- nb0
At $110/month, you're paying around $60/month more than you should be. For that amount you could buy a new phone whenever you want it. You wouldn't have to wait until November. And you'd have money left over.
- What carrier charges $50 per month for a full data plan?HijoDMaite
- How much data are you using?nb
- i've never paid attention since i have been with sprint for years and always have had unlimitedHijoDMaite
- but now that we have wifi everywhere maybe i dont need unlimited data.HijoDMaite
- You should check, it only takes a minute. I find it's actually difficult to use more than 1 GB in a month!nb
- MrT0
I just hope they can fit it with a battery that functions for longer than a year, since most phone contracts here are a minimum of 2 years. I love effectively paying monthly for something that doesn't work. Is there a problem sir? Upgrade to a 6!
- capn_ron0
I pay $94/month @ AT&T
Unlimted Text
Unlimited Data
450 talk minutesI hate talking on the phone. nb, where are you paying $60/month and what are the specs. Serious question.
- < I use red pocket :

pretty happy with the money/service so far.dyspl - hmmm, i gotta check that out. That is much cheaper
capn_ron - If you already own your phone go to Virgin Mobile. Unlimited data and messaging and 1200 minutes of talk is 45.00 month.Josev
- too much pr0n ese ;Pjaylarson

You're over paying for unlimited data. It sounds cool, but check to see how much you actually use. It's so unlikely that you go over 1 or 2GB in a month, unless your phone is your only internet connection. Even then it's tough, because most websites are optimized for mobile.
I'm in Canada. Bought a used iPhone 4 for cheap. I pay $54/month for Unlimited Talk+Text, Visual Voicemail, Caller ID and 2GB of internet.
