Whenever I see someone with the latest iPhone I think to myself, "this person makes poor financial decisions." Exceptions are the super-rich and people who work in mobile development related fields.

The absolute BEST feature about the iPhone 6 is that it will push down the price of the iPhone 5.

    • lots of people get them when they sign a contract and it only ends up being $200 or lessmonospaced
    • all of the top smartphones are about $600+ without onemonospaced
    • Yep, but if you can get the latest one for $200 on contract, you can get the previous model for much less, often free.nb
    • In Canada, that's how it works. I assume it's similar in most countries.nb
    • In Canada, the phone company forces you into a more expensive plan if you want the deal on the phone. You're still paying for it.nb
    • Example: $70/month for the cheapest iPhone plan. Bring your own phone and the same plan is $45. Over 2 years, that's $600nb
    • Right, I'm just saying that your assumption that they make a poor financial decision for $200 is odd.monospaced
    • But I see what you're saying. Those damn phone companies! It's simply not an Apple-specific issue your'e talking about.monospaced
    • It's my money!! I do what I want!!

    • Yeah, it's not really an iPhone issue. But iPhone is the only phone that I can recognize in public. The rest all look the same to me.nb
    • It's your money. You can do what you want. And I'm allowed to think of your purchase as a waste of money.nb
