The director of Britain’s leading Climate Research Unit, Phil Jones, has told Investigate magazine’s TGIF Edition tonight ..."It was a hacker. We were aware of this about three or four days ago that someone had hacked into our system and taken and copied loads of data files and emails."...
TGIF asked Jones about the controversial email discussing “hiding the decline”, and Jones explained what he was trying to say...

I should send this to my clients. Just did a report on a similar subject (global warming) with the Canadian Gov.

stinks of BS... as the person publishing constantly mentions to use caution on quoting these emails as fact...

i do not understand anything you are trying to say here with that quote, i am sorry man. i assume you are bright and well educated for writing an inviting introduction to make someone click a link. but i will not click it because i don't have the very same hidden meaning dissecting skills as you have.
no hard feelings, georges. i am a positive glass-half-full type of guy, but you failed to get something across here.
- aka an INTRODUCTION is first shining light on the subject a little bit more informative.. harsh huh?janne76
- I agree, jannemonospaced
- janne760
oh wait, so this is world news huh?
that's is why you must be linking to a BLOG in a completely irrelevant newspaper's website i never visited before.well, that is credible enough. thanks! :)

i still couldn't care less. i am indifferent. we are soon going to hell anyway. with or without man-made or otherwise fabricated climate change.
i am positive though. i am going to hell with that glass-half-full mentality for sure! :)

Janne i know i suck at working the tubes, but i thought this was kinda important...
I'm pretty sick of people who twist and distort facts to make oir life miserable, if this is true I will enjoy every minutes of it- i see. i am still indifferent though! :)janne76

Climategate what a stupid name I would have chosen Climategore
another article from the telegraph

"Climategate what a stupid name I would have chosen Climategore"
I would have called it "Summer ramblings on a picnic with damp beer cans overlooking penguin's craving for strawberry ice cream by the pool hackathon leetery"
but that may be hard to communicate in newspaper rss summaries.

ah janne, nice to see your chipper attitude pop up here again...

great line in the nytimes writeup:
“...Science doesn’t work because we’re all nice,” said Gavin A. Schmidt, a climatologist at NASA whose e-mail exchanges with colleagues over a variety of recent climate studies were included in the cache. “Newton may have been an ass, but the theory of gravity still works.”

if this IS true - i wonder how long it will take people who have fallen hook, line and sinker for this to fess up and say they were wrong about it? A generation maybe? two generations?
- GeorgesII0
They shouldn't back down because we have to save this rock but we don't need crooks to force us into it.

I hope it is a sign of the times to come: youth rebelling against the establishment, rather than doing what it tells them to, as they have been doing for the last decade or two, thinking they that was the rebellious thing to do.
