- Putting a better face on foreign policy.
+ How would you go about doing that?

Wow, what thick skulls you have. Your argument that all religion or the church fundamentally oppose science is ridiculous. Religion was misused as a way for people to imprison him for fear of his ideas.
A true faith must be open to change, otherwise it becomes what you are describing - a foundation for people to act out of selfishness, fear, hate, misunderstanding, etc.

I only get angry when they start messing w/ the separation between church and state.

UN in place of America in Iraq.

Ben Stein was a speech writer and lawyer for Richard Nixon, must be a great guy.

Brook, the fact that you have "little interest in theology" is very telling. How can you argue against things of which you are uninformed?
I see much evidence for God's existence in the world around me, in Scripture, in the lives of others and in my own life. You don't like the evidence? Fine. But who set you up as the author of believable proofs?
I didn't believe for years, then God basically kicked me square in my stubborn head and made it impossible for me to avoid or ignore him. Best thing that ever happened to me. It's ok if it hasn't happened to you. It's ok if you think I'm full of shit and have been brainwashed or whatever other conclusions you might arrive upon. It doesn't tarnish my faith in the least.
Your assumption that God is an imaginary being cannot be taken seriously in light of the fact that you haven't even studied your enemies.

Excellent. And the first few measures and phases?

it's just that their reasoning in everything is so flawed and so obvious. Not to them though, they can't step back and actually analyze what they're saying or doing (or anything else for that matter). it's all impulse for them. There's no critical thinking involved, it's all based on emotion, sentiment, and superstition to them.
From tonight's Christian show...
Amanpour: Do you believe that being gay is wrong?
Religious Nut: Yes, it's not in God's plan.
Well, if it's not in God's plan, and god "created" gays, then how can it be wrong????!
There's no rationale or basis for anything they say. they've been going along for thousands of years just making shit up, and it boggles my mind how people can be so stupid to fall for it.
When are we all going to realize that it's all a big sham??
I swear, in the year 4000 civilization is going to look back at this time and laugh their asses off at these inane beliefs and the fact that we actually killed each other over these beliefs.

It's funny, like you just typed all that for no reason, blue.

Oh man, nice heat, thank you. For that was more derogatory than three inquisitions clawing to save one's vision.

Haha sure I am. It's so easy for you to pigeon-hole me, isn't it?
I'm not saying I have all the answers - just providing what I have learned through my own research.

Why? Male nipples are sensitive and receive pleasure
flagellum
(Aug 24 07, 06:45)Wait, Mr with the profound rationalising of woteva he believes.... what about anuses??!!!
I mean for example kelpie LOVES fingering his anus.
Personally i don't dig it (cos of the haemorroids) but kelpie likes nothing better than to be "milking" his prostate gland and inducing hands free orgasms.
Does that mean anul sex - i.e a man being fucked by a penis (in a none gay way) was designed by God because kelpie's anus is so sensitive to pleasure????
Or does your ad hoc logic and reasoning also fly out of your anus??????????
now i'm confused.com :/

I'd have to ask my advisors who havent been appointed yet. ;)
I'm not a military strategist.

ah heck Blue, I was just clarifying the other guy's point.
I'm out, gotta tend to the wife.

*I should say, the authority on what counts as a believable proof.
This is the trouble here. We're all chasing our tails and ultimately it doesn't seem to matter who wins this argument, from what I can see. I'm in danger of not being a nice guy anymore, so it's time for me to say goodbye for the day.

That was funny, dude. It's like scrambled eggs over there, when it needs to be sunny side up. Centered, offering assistance when asked, not forced as that never seems to work. I'm by no means a military strategist either, but I'm working on finding one. ;-)

Tank: Big science is indeed biased. It can easily be likened to stuffy intolerant religious elitists. They won't tolerate ideas which challenge the reigning paradigms. I could show you a list of institutions, review boards, etc... which have tried to silence dissenters. It's sad and frightening.

A few things:
1. People do stupid things in the name of "Faith," religion, or belief. This includes Christianity, Islaam, aetheism, or anything else. It doesn't matter what the banner is, some idiot somewhere is going to use it to justify their politics, wars, prejudice, fear, etc. People are stupid. That's the way it is. Christianity and religion are NOT alone in this.
2. You guys aren't labeling other religions in this country the same way you do Christians. If you are willing to accept that not all Muslims are genocide-intending, gun-toting holy warriors, can't you afford Christians that same respect?
3. Lots of "Christians" out there deserve your harsh words. I'd love to join in on setting them straight.
4. There is a growing number of Christians who believe that even though abortion and homosexuality are wrong, that doesn't mean they can or should be targeted through legislation (or at all).
5. You pride yourselves so much upon being accepting towards all lifestyles and beliefs. Homosexuality especially. You post-modernists. Can't you at least start by accepting that Christianity is also a viable choice for an individual as well?
6. You are confused. Your target is religion, not faith. Your target is the misguided action of fanatics, not God.
