1-in-3 married Christians are legally verified hypocrites.

(Sep 5 07, 10:47)3 out of 3 Christians make mistakes on a daily basis. They aren't any more perfect than you. Sadly, many people claim to be Christians, though their lives do not reflect what they profess to believe. I have even known Christians who "walk the walk" and have been trapped by adultery, various addictions, etc. etc.
Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't. If they actually had the genuine article to begin with, there is nothing they can do to "lose their salvation", as certain Armenians would phrase it.
The common argument that one sees to this last statement above is something like "why bother being good anyway, if those who belong to Christ can't do anything to forfeit their salvation?"
The answer is simple: if a person is changed, by Christ, from the inside out, then they will become different – a change effected by God, not by any human. This process is called sanctification and occurs throughout a Christian's life. The basic operational paradigm here is that any TRUE good, loving, selfless deed I do is motivated by gratitude for being forgiven of all sin: past, present and future.

(Sep 5 07, 10:45)first the "lemming" thing is about as credible as the bible...

second as i've stated over and over religious democracies are, as a whole, behaving worse than non-religious democracies...

in my opion this has little to do with specfic religion, and much to do with the absolutist irrationality it endorses...
after all murder and rape are not in ones self interst. ...the vast majority of people get caught.
^ reason over emotion.
i'm guessing the sociopahtic atheist would know he'd (she'd)be better served getting a job in high finance, making the $$$, and using that to take adavntaged of the womens (or any other sadistic pursiuit money/power can provide).

stand up and be counted, you false-flagging heathens.

and stastics have many many variables. And humans are sinners. And not everyone who professes to be a Christian, truly is one...
Matthew 7:21-23
" 21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"

So what? You still have 35% of Christians saying "till Death do us part" in front of their beloved God and family then doing something else....probably chasing some "otherness"(i.e. strange ass).

"Among married born again Christians, 35% have experienced a divorce. That figure is identical to the outcome among married adults who are not born again: 35%.
George Barna noted that one reason why the divorce statistic among non-Born again adults is not higher is that a larger proportion of that group cohabits, effectively side-stepping marriage - and divorce - altogether."
