A few things:
1. People do stupid things in the name of "Faith," religion, or belief. This includes Christianity, Islaam, aetheism, or anything else. It doesn't matter what the banner is, some idiot somewhere is going to use it to justify their politics, wars, prejudice, fear, etc. People are stupid. That's the way it is. Christianity and religion are NOT alone in this.
2. You guys aren't labeling other religions in this country the same way you do Christians. If you are willing to accept that not all Muslims are genocide-intending, gun-toting holy warriors, can't you afford Christians that same respect?
3. Lots of "Christians" out there deserve your harsh words. I'd love to join in on setting them straight.
4. There is a growing number of Christians who believe that even though abortion and homosexuality are wrong, that doesn't mean they can or should be targeted through legislation (or at all).
5. You pride yourselves so much upon being accepting towards all lifestyles and beliefs. Homosexuality especially. You post-modernists. Can't you at least start by accepting that Christianity is also a viable choice for an individual as well?
6. You are confused. Your target is religion, not faith. Your target is the misguided action of fanatics, not God.
