Where is that from cactus?
I was trying to verify whether it is actually by "an Iraqi" but I can't find anything online about it.
- TheBlueOne0
Oh, Cactus, You mean this Omar Fadil, who's is part of Pjamas Media?
http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com…
You know, Pajamas Media, founded by that nuball form Little Green Footballs who makes Fox news look sane?
I like the clever and fallicious way you try to represent shit.
Your a propaganda whore. Peddle your wares somewhere else..what next? You going to link to Ahmed Chalibi's site?
Whne YOU get to Iraq and do a body count, then you can criticize people that went there and did it.
- TheBlueOne0
Gee, the US government seems to have a handle on the number of deaths in the Sudan at the hands of terrorists. And gee, looky look, they use the EXACT same methodology as this Iraqi study.
Let's repeat slowly. Official US government study. Same methodology. In Sudan.
http://www.state.gov/s/inr/rls/f…
So, um how come when when someone does it in Iraq it's you know a whacked out study? Becaus eit doesn't serve your political interests?
And if we can get official US government figures about a chaotic place like the Sudan, why can't we get them on a place where we're you know occupying (fighting them there) and where freedom is on the march and all that..?
Just asking the question.

"...compares mortality rates before and after the invasion from 47 randomly chosen areas in Iraq."
i'd like to see where these 'randomly' selected areas were. lets see, in the united states here how about we select east st. louis, south detroit, cabrini green in chicago, the west side of dallas, richmond, hartford, gary (pretty much the top 25 most dangerous cities in america) and see what the mortality rate is, then apply that to the united states as a whole. laughable.
and from what i understand, this 'report' is widely discredited, not just in the united states either.
- KuzII0
this report is only discredit in the sources you seek out to discredit this report.
- mrdobolina0
so the people that were for the war, discredit the report. the people that were against the war are still against the premise of the war. go figure.

(Oct 12 06, 07:00)You can see the random areas from their previous report, here:
http://www.zmag.org/lancet.pdf
The same methods were used in the report published yesterday. Not necessarily the same places but the reason why they used said random areas was precisely to eliminate the type of bias you are talking about.

theblueone, i'm sure you did but i have to ask, did you read that document start to finish? it differs from the iraq test in the first AND second paragraphs of the rationale and methodology section for heavens sake.
i'm sorry but i just had to ask the question.

vespa the graph on page 5 is disturbing, enlightening, and general.
the ratio of violent to non-violent deaths is non-violent < violent and from the blue markers the falluja death tolls account for a VAST majority of the deaths. two months in particular, april and august.
from the news.
"The Iraqi health minister said Thursday that 576 Iraqi insurgents and civilians had died during the sharp upturn in violence since April 1" - associated press. Late April.
Also in august it was reported the violence in falluja was also at an all time high.
anyways, it's like i said before. 7 clusters taken in baghdad and that has the highest rate of violence in iraq. hmm.

death toll in Iraq and number of PVN broadcasts speaks of abundance
