isnt that just the coolest damn thing ever?
cola, i am glad there is someone else here who can celebrate the iraqis victory.

Freedom is great, but it bugs me when people talk about the US making other countries "free" when, we have parts of East Los and Santa Ana where a kid can't play in their front yard.
I wish Iraq the best, but we could use some of those billions for our schools and youth programs here too. Pleeeeze? Just a few million!

read the taguba report for some of the details of torture done by soldiers and mercs in iraq.
not an article, it is a report written by a Brig General.
Also, Cola... 70% of registered voters voted. not 70% of iraqis.
- cola0
do you all wish to see death and failure for political advancement?
I really am not sure why you would argue with celebrating today when 70% of Iraqi courage was put on display.
yes virtu. it is wonderful.

"Also, Cola... 70% of registered voters voted. not 70% of iraqis."
okay i was not aware- just excited. doesnt matter really because 8 million voting is very big and speaks directly to the face of the terrorists.
- mrdobolina0
all of the news agencies in the US are saying 70% of iraqis voted, so I understand where you got that information from. But it is false.
only 8 Million people voted in a country with a population of 25 million. Thats not 70%

"only 8 Million people voted in a country with a population of 25 million"
exactly, ..sounds so much better in false percentages huh
- mrdobolina0
where's the liberal media you are always hearing about?
cnn, msnbc and fox are all reporting that 70% figure without qualifying it at all.
- Meeklo0
And just so you know..
there is no operation "iraqui freedom"
Its "iraqui invasion"
It doesn't mattter who they vote, america will be gobernating..wake up from that little bublble dude..
Can't you see the truth?
- pocho0
all of the media? I have not seen 70 percent overall mentioned yet. I've read 68 percent Shia and 71 percent of Kurds.

aaaaaargh!!! just fucking stop it will ya. you know, you must be so fucking naive to think that now everything will be fucking dandy in iraq, filled with happy shiny people drinking coca cola and getting in line for a happy meal. that's so far removed from reality. iraq is a country that has never ever known democracy in it's entire history. how the hell do you think that an entire country will change overnight? yeah it's a great start but don't start your parades now.

oh! ok. so, just because only 8 million voted, that means that we should all be pissed of about the election. we should all have the pessimistic view that you do. brilliant man! brilliant! THEY VOTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THEIR COUNTRIES HISTORY! what does it take to get through your thick skull how cool that is? jeebus man. that is quite inspiring if you ask me.
- rabattski0
and cola, 8 mln from 25 mln is not big. it's just 32%.
- mrdobolina0
here you go, virtu. Should make you proud:
- Jaline0
I think it's great news.
- cola0
so 8 million people dont count? huh?
I think i see what is going on. is it that all of you want the Bush agenda to fail? then i understand. it is all clear now.
not sure how you cant find it within yourselves that 8 million people count and should be celebrated regardless if your political views. Put that away for a day and celebrate their courage. their lives were threatened and i am sure the remaining that didnt vote were too afraid to vote.
- rabattski0
god are you stupid.
- virtu0
oh, and i did a little bit of math. it turns out that the largest voter turn out in US history was last year at 51%. this year in iraq, the voter turn out was 32% roughly. So, to me, that is a pretty significant turnout considering the insurgents threatened to murder anyone who voted. if america can only crank out 51%, and we dont have insurgents threatening our lifes, then i would assume that a 32% iraqi voter turn out is pretty damn good.
- Jaline0
whoa! calm down people
