The Dark Knight

From a friend that just saw it through a charity pre-screening in NYC.

"Off topic...saw The Dark Knight last night. Uh....masterpiece! I know some mature adults who don't want to see it because it's, y'know, a comic book movie and all, but believe me when I tell you that this movie has more in common with crime dramas like Heat, The French Connection, and, believe it or not, The Wire, than Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, or Spider-Man. This is epic, huge, storytelling of the very thin lines that separate heroes from villains, justice from anarchy. It's very long and dense, and certainly not for the children. In a way I can't even believe the the film is rated PG-13 since some of the very mature subject matter and violence would suggest an R-rating. Highly recommended for casual moviegoers and the highbrow cineaste. This is the best movie I've seen all year. A lot of people will scoff at that comment now and then, after seeing the film, realize that it's right on target."

Files to client - Yes or No?

I've worked on several print projects for this client of mine, and everything has been great. No issues. Easy client that always pays on time.

Few days ago, I was asked to send them a couple of original files (illustrator files) so that they could make some changes, and re-print (i'm not doing the printing, just providing the page layout).

What would you guys do? Would you send them the files? Would you charge them? And how much? I think I might know the answer, but I'm interested to know what's your opinion.

Thanks.

A new beginning.

Hello everyone,
Not to long ago my career took a little unexpected turn, and I found myself without a job.

I decided to take this sudden change, and turn it into something good (I hope). So I started my own business, BlueKwan Design.

Check it out, http://www.bluekwan.com, and let me know what you think. And, who knows, maybe we can do some business together.

Logo design

I'd like to know what you guys think.

With the economy still pretty messed up, it is hard to get paid like it used to. Everything needs to be cheaper, way cheaper.

How much would you charge for a logo design for a new start up clothing company?

Honda set to pull out of F1

The Japanese car manufacturer has the operating budget to keep the team running into early 2009, but escalating operational costs amid the worldwide financial crisis have the Brackley-based outfit in danger of shutting down if a new sponsor is not found quickly.
