Any photographers out there that are working professionally? Commercial and Editorial.

How did you break into it? How are you doing now. What were you doing beforehand?

I am just looking for some insight on what other people have gone through when starting a career as a photographer. I have been thinking about it for a long time now and I think I just need some justification to go for it (or not)

a question for web developers out there.

How do you handle color profiles in JPGs that are displayed online?

I was converting to sRGB and uploading but the colors displayed really saturated in Chrome but fine in FF.

I then converted to sRGB, stripped out the profile, and uploaded. Colors are still too saturated in Chrome but fine in FF.

Is it true that you can only buy them direct online? I am uneasy about dropping that much money without actually holding the product first.

I could use some help from anyone who is familiar with quicktime pro.

I am loading image sequences and then exporting them out as .mov using the H.264 codec. for some reason the color gets all washed out after exporting.

It doesnt matter what color profile is associated with the images, it still does it.

any ideas? thanks.

I swear, the support system is automated by robots. It just looks for a keyword like "FTP" and returns some juvenile crap about using an FTP client, totally disregarding the actual question that I had.

I am going to try to get my money back. I have never had this much trouble with any provider.

My Coda did an auto update the other day and since then it crashes on startup every time. I cant use it at all at the moment. Any suggestions?

This is for a lifecoach type client who does seminars on how to be an effective leader and improve your productivity etc...

The product is Quietspacing, a program he developed to help people find a balance between their work and all the distractions that surround it; its supposed to help people "get in the zone" and be more productive.

I am trying to sell the idea of using the Zen symbol Enso as the basis of the logo which is the circle shape that you see.

I would just like to hear your opinions on which direction is working better than others. Thanks

Overprint Preview (InDesign) Feb 26, 09, 9:21 a.m.

I have some artwork that was made in AI using 3 spot colors. Why, when I place it in InDesign and turn on Overprint Preview, do the colors change so drastically. It doesn't seem right.

For example Pantone Black U looks like light brown with Overprint Preview turned on.

Am I missing something?
