Been asked to do a legal firm logo May 23, 13, 2:17 a.m.

This isn't my main focus of work (identity) and law is probably the most cliche riddled sector there is.
They want a logo with an emblem of some description (not just type).
Where do you guys start with this?
I am sketching but keep just ending up with type treatments.
Its low budget so needs to be done quick (part of a website job). I know this isn't the way of doing things but its bread and butter.

I'm trying to set up an RSS feed from a blog to ONLY include the first image in the post or the featured image. I need to exclude the description, which is a problem because in a default RSS feed the image is contained within the <description></description> section.

I'm kind of unsure if I should focus on customizing a feed at the source to only include the featured image.

Basically:
Feed Destination should only display an image from the Feed Source. It can be the first image in a post, or the Featured Image field.

Anyone have some advice on this? Might it be best to create an additional custom RSS feed to handle this?

So, in probably a little over a year the wife, kid and I will be upping sticks and moving to LA from the midwest, as the wife is going to work in production design for TV and possibly some movies, hooray.
I've only been to LA a couple of times about 10 years ago and the parts I saw were awful - I liked Venice, but the rest of the places I saw were crowded, run-down and entirely uninspiring.
Of course there's this great legend about the place, being genuinely cool and interesting and varied and diverse and laid back, only I've seen none of that. I know there are LA folks on here who love the place - what should I be looking forward to, considering I'm actually moving there from a conservative, cultural desert, but am actually a lefty, technohead vegan eurotrash type guy ?
