Does any find firefox crashing frequently?

Started happening to me in the past couple weeks on both MS XP and Vista. Works great on Mac OSX...

I've uninstalled, reinstalled and it still happens. Now, I'm not pointing any fingers but this started after a recent MS update. I just find it strange that Firefox goes from super stable and fast to being crap...

Anybody else seeing this happening?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any techniques or resources to increase their productivity?

What do some of you do to balance speed and quality when you have multiple projects with increasingly tight deadlines?

I'm mainly speaking about design...

Any help would would really be appreciated.

hi all,
what would be the proper use of an angled quotation mark (Guillemet)?

I know it's commonly used with german or french typefaces but how is it interpreted in english?

to me the first thing that comes to mind is an expandable menu...

let me know what you all think. not crazy about using it but would like some evidence for or against it.

Hi all,
I started as a graphic designer, moved onto front end work but would really like become a developer to be able to built applications and whatnot... Anybody have any tips on how they got started? Is it the norm to have your employer pay for your training or did most of you take courses, learn on your own, etc...? I always see really excellent work coming from many of you here so help me out and let me know how you all got started. I really want to learn to do this well and recognize that it will take alot of time and training. Thanks all...

been working at this place for over a year now. entry level just to get my foot in the door. I've build 50 sites for them, flash presentations, code to make all the sites more accessible (over 400) because our manager sucks and doesn't recognize what standard compliant code means, multiple user surveys, maintence for our internal and external sites, train all incoming employee within my position, present our projects to our customers and employees...and all I got was a crap 7%(minimum) raise on the crap salary I get now.

But great news! Everyone on my team today got a promotion except for me. The manager decided to announce it to the whole company and the first thing one of the developers tells me is "damn thats sucks that everyone got promoted but you".

i fuckin hate my life. yeah I know, boo f'ing who... I'll kill my own thread now 'cause noboby gives a f*ck here like no one gives a f*ck anywhere...

Would anyone know of a good ASP tutorial for building a photo library? I was planning on doing it in PHP and found some great resources but the setup process for our servers was more than I was willing to handle.

The developers here at work all use either ASP or ASP.NET so all I really need is how to go about building one.

Any help, comments, insults would be much appreciated...

I'm researching now but hoped to see if anyone has delt with this in the past.

I'm having crawling issues because of compulsory cookies (i.e. the website won't work because the specific cookie isn't set.). Due to SEC requirements on the site a client must select a state before entering the site. The cookie was placed so that if they returned to the site they could bypass the state selection page.

Now the problem is that spiders will not search further because of the cookie. We tried javascript with the same spider halting results. The sites are not being ranked high on search engines even though they recieve several thousand hits a week and link to several sites.

If anyone could provide any ideas or links that deal with this I will be your friend for life.

..smart ass comments are acceptable and encouraged as well...

This program is driving me f'ing nuts...I looked everywhere and can't find a solution.

I just want the swf to loop...
I have a clip on the main timeline. Inside that clip I have 10 other clips which work like this.

clip1 plays then on it's last frame

stop();
_root.clip. clip2.goto AndPlay("start");

which obviuosly starts clip2. I'll do the same to clip2 then clip3...etc...

At the end of clip10 I just want the whole thing to start over.

_root.clip.clip1.goto AndPlay("start");

this goes back to clip1 but clip2 to 10 are still on the stop(); so they are still visible.

someone please put me out of my misery.

Hi all, need some flash help. I want to call up a movie clip within another movie clips' time line...

I basically have about 10 movie clips that fade in to create an image when combined. I want to save space on the main timeline by placing these 10 clips within a movie clip so I can then place the one clip on the main timeline. Make sense?

If anyone could help me out or point to a tutorial...

I'm just learning flash and if someone could help me out...

So far I have 2 movie clips, 30 frames long. Both have gotoAndStop(30) so I have them stopping where I want them to. My problem is on the main timeline I want clip1 to play, when it stops I want clip 2 to play while the last frame of clip1 is still visible. I can't find anything that can explain this without a freakin button. I just want to have a clip play then another, then another, without adding 30+ frames to each movie so they can play sequentially. Someone please help point me to a tutorial or something. It seems so basic but I just can't figure this crap out.
