been working at this place for over a year now. entry level just to get my foot in the door. I've build 50 sites for them, flash presentations, code to make all the sites more accessible (over 400) because our manager sucks and doesn't recognize what standard compliant code means, multiple user surveys, maintence for our internal and external sites, train all incoming employee within my position, present our projects to our customers and employees...and all I got was a crap 7%(minimum) raise on the crap salary I get now.
But great news! Everyone on my team today got a promotion except for me. The manager decided to announce it to the whole company and the first thing one of the developers tells me is "damn thats sucks that everyone got promoted but you".
i fuckin hate my life. yeah I know, boo f'ing who... I'll kill my own thread now 'cause noboby gives a f*ck here like no one gives a f*ck anywhere...

Wait for another round of raises/promotions.
If your peers are still being rewarded more than you, ask to be bumped up to their level, citing the improvements and dedication you did here. Or threaten to walk.
That's what I'd do man. Tough luck, but it's not a job unless you hate going to it everyday.
- emokid0
don't threaten to walk--that's just silly but do inquire in a diplomatic manner the reason you were not given a promotion.
50 sites in one year is approximately one website a week. you are a fucking machine.
- lvl_130
sucks man. get the fuck out before you waste anymore time there. seriously.
- fate_0
I'm saying walk after 1.5-2 years if he's still being treated unfairly. Not right now, emokid.

thanks for the replies all...and the rainbows and lollipops too.
I'm not saying that people on my team didn't deserve it. We all work really hard and it's great for them. I really don't want to take anything away from them.
their responsibilities are not only to develop our clients sites but also to develop the companies public site, their intranet, and a dedicated site for our financial representatives tools as well as internal apps... and I basically create our clients sites and maintain and backup pretty much all of the above. I know I'm being really vague right now, I probably won't even be able to use my work for a portfolio because I work for a financial company where we can't divulge anything...
my plan right now is to give it 6 months but as pissed as I am I really need to analyze where I fuck*d up...
oh, did I mention I'm the only guy in a team of 7? and no, it's not great, it's an f'ing nightmare and I think it's the main 'cause that I get passed over on good projects and promotions. It's a girls club and I'm the wiping boy. //does wonders to making friends there...

simple solution:
Go see your boss,
tell him you like the job, the place, that you think you did bring a lot to the company. He will probably say: 'but!?!'
and then to respond:
'i think i'm underpaid for what i do here, that's all, good day'& then, just act as normal, do your usual work, giving the +
I know it sucks, but you'll see a lot better results if you keep up the good work, & give a little word that they should recognize your work a bit more.
Been to my job for 1 1/2 year, really a slow start, but now, last week, got a 24% raise...
stick to it if you like the job, & never threat to leave, good employees don't leave, but let know of there comments

You optimised 400 sites in a year? On top of building flash sites and presentations? You could be earning like 2 million a year with that much work.
Or just ask your boss for a raise. You must be worth a fair bit to them if you have an output that high.
- Jaline0
aaaaaaah, you are the only guy. It's all getting clear now.
- ricstultz0
I was once told by a smart man that you should never have to ask for a raise.
I stick by that.
I say start looking for a new job.

whats getting clearer Jaline? I didn't sleep more than 4 hours last night stressing about this. I try to be nice, I try to be helpful, I work as hard as I can...
I speak up about issues that can hurt the project, I'm a jerk. I stay quiet, somethings wrong...please help me decipher womanese.
I really like working with everyone on my team, my manager hates my guts but I think she knows she needs me right now.
thank you NT therapy...
- todelete__20
dude. your standard 7% raise is better than most.
we made 2 billion last year. this past week we broke our record of 2 million in sales with 2.7 million in sales.
you want to know my raise? 4%. so eat a dick.
- Jaline0
I'm not sure what I meant. Do you converse with the manager or anything? Know much about her? I don't know. Women tend to get to know each other, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm just saying that because you're the only guy.
Anyway, hope everything works out for you. If nothing gets better within the next few months you should leave. Good luck :)

thanks for the help and no help all...
