The latest bullshit I heard which is kinda sorta believable, but not really... is that these are US Military drones scanning the area for signs of radiation. A dirty bomb or nuclear device was APPARENTLY brought through the port of Elizabeth, near Newark Airport, and is being stored in the area with the plan of detonating at Times Square New Years Eve. To avoid all out panic the gubmint ain't saying sheeit.
