I am a lover of perfume/Aftershave. Expensive and less expensive.i couldn't see a thread on here for such delights.
I'm always searching for holy grail, the one... There are so many perfumes out there that I don't know if I'll ever find it.
Show me your favs! Any hidden gems. I have a fragrantica profile with all my perfumes that I own, and have owned.
https://www.fragrantica.com/memb…
I know not everyone is into fragrances but if any of you share your favourites!

All I can say is, I'm happy I don't see Farenheit anywhere in your profile. I really can't countenance anyone smelling like my father. Or my father smelling like my father.
Yuck.
- I use something in a sapphire-blue bottle from Rituals, by the way. FWIW. I forgot the name, and I'm too lazy to go to the bathroom and look.Continuity
- I'm now ordering Poison to complement the trauma.palimpsest
- Hahahahahacruddlebub
- Fahrenheit and joop (pink bottle) can get in the bin.cruddlebub

- Only now do I find out he was putting on perfume.palimpsest

If any of you are looking for a cheap Christmas present or a cheap new perfume for yourself this... This right here has granted me multiple compliments and is insanely cheap.
The last I checked on notino it was £12! For 100ml EDP.
BONKERS
- What the nosefeel hit like?palimpsest
- It's a pretty standard blue... A mix of sauvage (elixir) and ysl Y. It's an easy wear. Day or night. All year round. Typical mass appeal but...cruddlebub
- For way out performs it's price tagcruddlebub
- Lasts ages (7+ hours). And stays on clothes for days (coat/hoodies) which again, for the money, is madnesscruddlebub

- They’re not for covering up! For me a good smell offsets the fact that I generally look like I’ve just robbed somewhere.MrT
- Hahaha I don't understand this "people who wear perfume stink" people who stink... Stink of B.O and sweat... Not perfume lolcruddlebub
- It's always too much. People develop a tolerance and use more and more. Ew.jagara
- i always thought that's why the french started the perfume thing. cuz paris stinks or something. *i know my impression might not be historically accurate lolpango
- You're not too wrong. Perfume has been used all over the world for a very very very long time. 4000 odd years ago. But yeah the french are whiffycruddlebub
- cruddlebub1
If people are wearing perfume to cover up "smelling bad" then they will still smell bad lol.
I not a bad smelling person but have been buying fragrances since I was 15. Nearly 30 years. It's deffo a hobby! And can be super addictive

Ambre Eccentrico Giorgio Armani
- Their prive line is amazing! If you love amber then have a look at grand soir by MFK. simply amber and vanilla. But done so well. That Armani looks up my streetcruddlebub

Quite the selection! Also a big fan here, and on rotation at the moment are these two; one French, one Aussie, both great.
- I've seen mature before but not the other! Shall have a lookcruddlebub
- Matiere*cruddlebub
- The Aussie one is Melbourne-based. Hope you can find, but all these smaller scent makers are really interesting.MrT
- I love a niche brand. Over a designer. They all do nice higher end stuff. Even their street perfumes are ok but a nice niche...cruddlebub
- Will always win. Depends on how mad you want to go, have a look at a french house called Parfumerie Particulière... They do a few which are incrediblecruddlebub

People that use perfume or aftershave stink. If you shower enough you won't need that bullshit.
- Odd opinion. How many peoples pits or ass have you sniffed who also smell of perfume to gain this information?cruddlebub
- lolpango
- Ow go downvote u smelly boys!milfhunter
- @cruddlebub i love to smell a CLEAN ass hole. Its all about the essence of taking a shower and wear clean clothes you dummy.milfhunter
- It isn’t used to cover stink.monospaced
- People who don't wash or don't wear DEODORANT are the ones who smell... I don't for one second imagine, if they can't be fucked to wash...cruddlebub
- That they'll try and cover said filth with expensive/semi expensive perfume. Depends where you live I suppose. Sounds European and stinkycruddlebub
- @cruddlebub Look at your leader Trump, perfect example, put a layer of of Parfume and tan on your body and you look as new, right!?milfhunter
- @cruddlebub everything is a cheap and a poor knock off of European aesthetics. Don't try to defend your stinky culture.milfhunter
- ^ lol what i'm seeing is one European calling another European knock off European.
oh wait UK not in EU anymore. does that disqualify them?pango - I'm not American you willycruddlebub

Hai Karate, haha, memories!
Used to get like talc, deodorant and aftershave giftpacks for xmas.
Likely reeked of the stuff for half the year till it run out.Seems like I've went full circle almost.
As had many expensive aftershaves over the years, now back to something bog standard - Old Spice.- The old spice deodorant is very nice! But I think it's the newer style/smell. Not the ogcruddlebub
- Use the OG scent as I never see the other newer ones as Aftershave, only deoderant.microkorg

i use america's no 1 aerosol.

We moved house recently and I unearthed my old scents, which had lain dormant for a near decade, so I started a light dabbing after my morning ablutions.
One scent's still a favourite and works, subtly. Another - from the same brand - most mostly untouched so I added a spritz of that one day and spent the rest of the day gagging 'cos it fucking stank. I need to throw that shit out.
.
Just checked, apparently the one I like has been discontinued. Why does everything I like get cancelled?! It was Eau de Cartier. I guess I best be careful with the bottle...
just sayinghans_glib - Yeah. I saw that when trying to find out where the fuck it'd gotten to. My bottle's pretty full and when I use it, I do so very sparingly so it should lastNairn
- because we can't have nice things.pango
- Nothing lasts forever Nairn. Especially smells!Ianbolton
- Yo Cartier perfumes are good! If it's been kept in the dark in decent temps it could be ok! Depends on the level in the bottle.cruddlebub
- Pasha de Cartier EDP is amazing! (Silver cap with blue top) If you can get it discounted it's worth every penny! Super winter fragcruddlebub
- Actually it's the parfum version not esp
https://www.fragrant…cruddlebub - Oh, it's fine - it's probably changed a little in all these years, but it still smells ok to me. It'll have to do either way!Nairn
- I'll check those out next time I'm abroad.Nairn
- *edp fuckcruddlebub
- Perfume will only get better over time (if its stored well) they macerate and get stronger. They do have a shelf life but again, if stored well they'll be fine.cruddlebub
- Never had Nairn as a cologne guystoplying
- eh, I'm not much, and when I do I use so little it only has an intimate level of aroma. It's for me, not for anyone else. *mince*Nairn
- same heremonospaced
- Exactly. Wear perfume for yourself or partner. Not for anyone else. Get a compliment, that's a bonus.cruddlebub

If you're looking for a banging night/evening out scent. Or just one that'll turn heads in general. This is beast mode.

Unisex but swings more masculine.
It's just one of those perfumes you smell and instantly fall in love with it.
£190 - 100ml.

I really like the Burberry Hero my wife gave me a few years ago.
- Oh man, Burberry touch holds some memories. I've been meaning to get a tester of hero. Pretty good reviewscruddlebub
- I just looked at reviews for the first time and I’m surprised to see they aren’t very favorable. Oh well.monospaced
- Bro, if you like it, you like itcruddlebub
- And the EDP is rated 4.10/5 on fragrantica. I only listen to the scores/reviews from that app/site. Real people's scores and reviews.cruddlebub
- Anything over 4 is worth looking at.cruddlebub
- I think it's great. :)monospaced
- Pretty sure I have the earlier EDT, though. Apparently the EDP is stronger?monospaced
- EDP Is stronger than EDT yeah. Next level up is parfum then elixir/extract is the highest. Cologne and aftershave splash are the weakest.cruddlebub

not a fan of those old wooden furniture smell...
good furniture smell but just not on people....- The old wood smells, like pine and cedar or very strong indeed. Wood is a vague description of a smell when it's in a perfume breakdown...cruddlebub

Last week on Halloween, a 10 year old kid who lives on my street rang the doorbell. I opened the door and was overwhelmed by cheapo cologne. It stung my brain, but then I laughed at the thought of a kid absolutely covering himself in cologne to go trick or treating.
- Hahahaha he's on it early! Probably axe body spray... If that's what you call it over there.cruddlebub
- absolutely hate sharing elevator or bus with someone who just emptied an entire can of axe on them self...pango
- Who the fuck wears axe! Hahaha non smelling anti persperant under the arms. Then perfume on you and your clothes.cruddlebub
- I wonder the same too. Some people apparently. The power of marketing.pango
- I know they've recently brought out a newer line of axe/lynx which is 3 times the price and meant to smell like expensive perfumes .. lolcruddlebub

OK, so right then - where and how do you spray your perfume?
Answers > please, Thank you.
- When I do, I spray a very small amount after shower and dry myself, luxuriantly, just somewhere beneath my navel. The warmth of My Being creating Scent™Nairn
- Which is to say, if you've been in my presence and smelt my eau de twat, you've also got my crotch molecules inside your face.Nairn
- Hahaha I do not recommend spraying it on your ball bag or dong. Normally it's chest, neck, back of neck and if you're feeling fly, back of hands...cruddlebub
- Don't recommend spraying directly into your eyes. It hurts. Or mouth... Tastes pretty bad... I mean, you can spray it where you like really...cruddlebub
- Ideally 6 inches away from you. So the atomiser can do it's job.cruddlebub
- After shower, spray in front of myself and walk into the mist. Let it touch skin not clothes.monospaced
- Spraying directly onto clothes will 100 percent prolong the smell. Perfume behaves differently on skin... But it can stain clothing.cruddlebub
- Also, were all chemically different and one perfume may smell amazing on you, but awful on me... Down to our own skin chemistrycruddlebub
- most of them got alcohol... it's gonna burn the balls.pango

This is lovely
https://www.byredo.com/us_en/sel…- had this three times and it's so great. Reminds me of nice winter martini date nights with my wifeDaveO
- Gypsy water by byredo is a great buy for the wife! It's actually unisex but smells amazing on a woman. They have some very good fragrances.cruddlebub
- This above has a tea note in it. I particularly like a fragrance with tea note in. They're definitely different from the mass appealing perfumes, in a good waycruddlebub
