No one seems to have noted that Putin himself bluntly admitted to targetting civilians in Sumy the other week.
Still. Nice that he targetted civilians in Kyiv as a petulant response to that ammunition dump to *North East* of Moscow getting fucked over earlier this week.
- A military award ceremony is somehow "targetting civilians"? Please explain. Zelensky even fired the military official that organized the ceremony.Milan
- Fired because of the security leak, and yes, attacking a mere ceremony military or otherwise inside a civilian city is - to be blunt - targetting civilians.Nairn
- I appreciate that you ex-Soviets have a different mentality when it comes to destroying multitudes of people to achieve your aim, so you don't 'Get' it.Nairn
- "destroying multitudes of people to achieve your aim" That's the definition of USA since its inception, moron.Milan
- From with the genocide of American natives to the genocide of Palestinian children today.Milan
- But they actually achieved something by killing other people. Your lot will slaughter a hundred of your own for a bite of a dog's sausage. A subtle difference.Nairn
- Lol, achieved what? Causing chaos and destruction all over the world, while the average American eats slop everyday. Dog sausage would be an upgrade for them.Milan

- have the russians even killed one general...or do these suckers just hit civilians...neverscared
- Not if your news sources are exclusively Western media. According to them, Ukraine is still winning, right? Even in Kursk.Milan
- Also, Israel and the U.S. have killed more CHILDREN in Gaza in the past 1.5 years than the total civilian casualties in the Ukraine.Milan

Not the only one today either...

I've never understood Ukraine's claim on Crimea, other than they somehow inherited it when the Soviet Union collapsed.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi…
It was held by greeks for thousands of years, then mongols, tartars, ottomans cossacks and finally Russians.
A survey in May 2013, asked respondents what language they spoke at home:
82% Russian
10% Crimean Tatar
3% Russian and Ukrainian equally
3% Russian and another language equally
2% UkrainianGiving up Crimea is a non-starter for Zelensky when it comes to the peace deal so I'm obviously missing something...unless it's to prevent Russian claims on other former lands? Both in Ukraine and former soviet republics?
- like you said everyone loved to fight over that piece of real estate for thousands of years. no need for legitimacy.Beeswax
- One could compare it to Kosovo, it's a very similar situation. And Serbia's claim is equally dubious.Continuity
- But the problem Zelenskyy is facing isn't just Crimea, but three legitimately-Ukraini... provinces in the east of the country. If he gives up Crimea, it mightContinuity
- ... weaken his hand for the three _actually_ Ukrainian territories.Continuity
- And also: any concession on territory feeds the perception Russia is being rewarded for its aggression, and it's not going to make the Baltics, Poland, or someContinuity
- ... Balkan countries in the potential future line of fire very happy.Continuity
- Further: it gives Russia 100% acess to the Med if the get Crimea. Ask especially Greece, Cyprus, and Malta how they feel about that possibility.Continuity
- Yeah continuity, that seems like the most plausible explanation. Ideally Russia takes crimea and withdraws from the three other provinces... but good luck :(_niko
- This is unfortunately so, at least until someone in the US has a sudden, real revelation about Putin's trustworthiness.Continuity
- What do you mean you don't understand their claim on it? From international legal perspective it is part of Ukraine.yuekit

“You've no clue what you're on about. Post proof of those imaginary North Koreans in Ukraine”.
—MilanAside from all of the photographic and video evidence, which you'd no doubt smear as synthesised propaganda, about straight from the horse's mouth?

Or are you going to err on a technicality with them having fought in the Kursk region?
- Kursk is not in Ukraine, idiot.Milan
- Yes, hence erring on technicalities, idiot.Nairn
- Shift the goalposts, go on.Nairn
- What's your point? North Korean boys got some training in modern warfare while helping completely cleanse Kursk. Again, they never entered Ukraine, retard.Milan
- The point is to highlight how fork-tongued an utterly unreliable you are. They're 'involved in the conflict', you implied they weren't. You are deceitful.Nairn
- Or, perhaps, just utterly credulous and a bit stupid.Nairn
- https://en.wikipedia…Nairn
- You said they were fighting in Ukraine, reliable one.Milan
- Where did I? I specifically allowed for your interpretation. I just wonder how you'd howl if there were EU/US boots on the ground, near the front lines.Nairn
- You are a regurgitating shill with questionable mores and a proclivity for targetted bullshit. Transparent as all your kind.Nairn
- Sorry - "EU/US boots on the ground, near the front lines. IN UKRAINE herself". I double-dare you to suggest you'd not consider them part of the conflict.Nairn
- Let's ignore the fact that NATO countries sent most of their military equipment and ammo to Ukraine along with intel officers, trainers, mercenaries...Milan
- Using the U.S. satellites for all targeting and Starlink for communications.Milan
- And they still lost.Milan

Meanwhile in France: „French President Emmanuel Macron noted on Tuesday that the Ukrainians had the "lucidity to say" that they would not be able to take back all their territories at the end of the conflict with Russia, noting that Kiev would not join NATO for lack of consensus on the subject. "The war must end, and Ukraine must be in the best possible position to enter into negotiations", which "will make it possible to deal with territorial issues", declared the head of state. "And even the Ukrainians themselves have the lucidity to say (...) that they will not have the capacity to take back everything that has been taken since 2014" by Russia, he added, without naming any regions in particular.„

HOLY. SHIT.
- Looks to be the single-greatest cost/benefit strike in military history.Nairn
- yeahsted
- this was to prevent an offensive, but usually these are followed by some nasty rassan counterattack like bombing civilians or critical infrastructurested
- No, I don't much imagine Vlad's going to be much-pleased. Shit will hit the fan, but if all's to be believed, Rus is not at all in a good position after this.Nairn
- A significant and costly hit, and an internal paralysis of sorts. Domestic security and trust just got shat one, as well as distribution of defense assetsNairn
- And now we in the West realise we are even more open to this kind of attack.
Interesting times.Nairn - His Military and intelligence people will be avoiding tall buildings with windows after this_niko
- a driver got caught, and one trucks went up in flames before delivering anything. meanwhile they blew up bridges and railway tracks in the warzonested
- i agree with nairm, it makes us realise how simple a terrorist attack using drones would be now in WestHAL9001
- I've mooted containers as vehicles for weapon delivery for a while now - but i had small nukes or something in mind. Drone delivery's obvious, in hindsightNairn
- yeah there is a court case here in DK about a group buying drones for possible terrorist attack, so its comingNutter
