Minted this random/generative piece on FXHASH today that I built over the weekend. Sold out in 2 hours. Insane! and did NOT expect that!
- I miss registration marks. Cool piece!!section_014
- I like those.Hayzilla
- which is the random/generative part or parts ? flash ?neverscared
- i mean what did u generate per code.?. did a lot actionscripting style stuff too back in the days of course..neverscared
- Its all actionscript based. It is built in Adobe Animate (formerly flash). I have 9 different linocut female faces cut into slices. The code chooses a slice andmicrokorg
- and positions it at a random position and angle at random times (all within constraints). At random times (within constraints) the CMY circles change sizemicrokorg
- and position. I'm no coder, it pretty simple actionscripting I wrote myself. I used to use Flash 20+ years ago when I started my career.microkorg
- Then publish as HTML5. Download template from fxhash and insert the HTML output, js etc from Animate into it.microkorg
- The thumbs in the collection are generated by fxhash 2 seconds after start of piece so will grab a unique composition made up of start positions of everythingmicrokorg

- Great work micro, brilliant. We’re these sold as a group or individually? What was the price for each, I couldn’t see it_niko
- Sold individually. Each buyer mints a version of it. They were 1tz ($5) each.microkorg
- and thanks ! :)microkorg
- If anyone is into creative coding like this I thoroughly recommend getting on the fxhash site and creating works. Its on Tezos chain so is a 'green' currency.microkorg

‘Buy the Constitution’ Aftermath: Everyone Very Mad, Confused, Losing Lots of Money, Fighting, Crying, Etc.
The community of crypto investors who tried and failed to buy a copy of the U.S. Constitution last week has descended into chaos as people are realizing today that roughly half of the donors will have the majority of their investment wiped out by cryptocurrency fees. Meanwhile, disagreements have broken out over the future of ConstitutionDAO, the original purpose of the more than $40 million crowdfunding campaign, and what will happen to the $PEOPLE token that donors were given in exchange for their contributions.
- Wow sounds like a real shitshow. Pays to DYOR before investing in anything or anyone.microkorg

AMC Theatres has announced that it will be offering 86,000 Spider-Man non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to members of AMC Stubs Premiere & A-List and AMC Investor Connect who purchase an advanced ticket for a Spider-Man: No Way Home showing on December 16.
- Only 86,000? ;)
Although they will have a collectibility and associated value this is just jumping on the NFT bandwagon for some marketing hype.microkorg - Some added utility to these NFTs would've made Sony Pictures true superheroes in my eyes.microkorg
- "utility" and "NFTs" should't be in the same sentence evergrafician
- Doesn't just have to be a picture tied to an NFT it can be a promise/contract too. The owner of this NFT can do/get this/that.microkorg
- Only 86,000? ;)

NFT oligarchy? A study of 6.1M NFT trades finds a few folks at the center of the market
The top 10% of traders account for 85% of transactions & trade at least once 97% of all assets
10% of buyer–seller pairs have the same volume as the remaining 90%

- Because they trade among themselves and there's no actual NFT market?grafician
- *shocking*formed
- nasty stuff.neverscared
- while they are fucking the enviroment for all of us .. let that sink in.neverscared
- aren't we doing the same with traditional trades in a way? like when stocks move a lot it's because some big investor buys / sells assets.uan
- this causes the masses to follow and that's where money flows in or out the stock markets. the big guys (banks) know about it and gain value from those trades.uan
- the new thing with nft is, it's new markets. because it's new, they are still under development and therefore the trades are still concentrated in some small %uan
- now if the market grows, are the artists who got some profit take the money out of the market or are they investing in new artists.uan
- they need to make the market grow. in a way this algorithms will force ppl who think about personal gain to act in a social way that will benefit the market.uan
- @uan wtf are you talking about? Seriously! Who in their right mind would waste time getting wallets, crypto, etc. browse badly designed websites to buy jpgs?!grafician
- and ofc the artists take the money out, if someone would pay you millions overnight would you "reinvest"?!
no, wait, sure, here's 10 TZ for that jpg thanksgrafician - buying jpgs? lol:-) it's like saying when you buy a real picasso painting, do you buy canvas and pigments.uan
- I am not sure this ethereum thing is the best solution, I expect us to see some better tech in the future as this transition progresses.uan
- yeah "buying jpgs" is what common folk understand from NFTs
people barely understand crypto, NFTs are a little fractal in all that
You guys live in a bubble?grafician - oh waitgrafician

Mike Shinoda mixing up generative & music with a new release where each NFT is a unique composition of different layers of art and music.
Good to see 'celebs' actually doing something interesting with NFTs rather than just a high profile drop and sales then fuckin' off. Lookin at you Grimes.
- "Visually and musically, no two items are the same".
Is he throwing shade at non-generative NFTs? Aren't NFTs inherently unique?palimpsest - If it's an 'edition' NFT (one of many) as NFT albums usually are then they are all the same. What he's doing is giving each buyer something unique.microkorg

FTX exchange adding Eth based NFTs to platform - "Because the NFT sales take place off-chain on FTX’s own platform rather than entirely on the Ethereum blockchain, users won’t have to pay gas fees for actions like placing bids on NFTs, buying or selling NFTs, or changing bid/offer prices."
