We were supposed to go to Taiwan for 3 weeks. We postponed our trip for fear of getting stuck. Now we we we went. Being stuck there would have been great. Also had my birthday at home versus going out to dinner.
- You ok?

I'm actually missing isolation... Missing having the house to myself all day and walking the dog for miles without seeing anyone...
Only tickets I have are for shows coming up in late May, but can't imagine they'll happen:
Oh Sees in Dublin

i was going to have a 2 month paid residency in denmark ending in a couple exhibitions and then was in the process of booking a small music tour to coincide
while the official word is still 2 weeks away, assuming it's all fucked now. don't see denmark letting americans through the border anytime soon.

No cultural events, besides one art exhibition.
But there‘s my mother‘s birthday, which can‘t be celebrated with the whole family. And eating in restaurants, what I‘m doing almost every day usually.

My son's 5th birthday is next week. We're usually pretty big on birthdays in our family. Renting out a park or an indoor play gym or even Chuck E Cheeses. He keeps saying how excited he is to see all his friends at his party.
When we asked what kind of cake he wanted he said "pumpkin pie" so I said "Pumpkin Spice Cake?"
"No, I want a pumpkin pie, all my friends will love it"
Poor little guy. Hopefully we can get a zoom call with all of his friends singing Happy Birthday for him. If not he's stuck with just me his mom, brother and the dog.

I was supposed to be in NYC this weekend. I cancelled the flight and hotel before shit got really bonkers, luckily. Otherwise, just going to restaurants and stuff. I never really cared for concerts, tbh. So, not missing anything like that.

I had helped a youth organizer group raise $18,000 for an Earth Day Climate Strike event (Greta Thunberg-style) that got postponed/cancelled. We were hoping for attendance of 10,000+ people.
Fortunately we get to hold onto the money until it's safe to hold the event. But we're going to miss the 50th, international anniversary of Earth Day, which is happening this year.

Long bike rides, or short :(... Any kind.
And being alone, now I've got time to do all art projects I wish, but wife and daugthers are around all day!
