Yeah, he's a bit of a cunt, but he made electric cars cool. His projects are pie in the sky, but some of them are delivering (ie the falcon rocket and self-driving car).
We actually need courageous and impossible vision to save the planet from devastation. Whoever is the vessel for accomplishing this is incidental. All courage comes with some hubris, some bravado.
I would rather the world be changed dramatically by insufferable cunts than stymied in the malignant status quo gradually to die.
