I have a client that is looking for a nice wordpress theme. Haven't looked for a prebuilt on in a while, but they want something up pretty quick. I want it to be a clean build, so I'm not digging into crappy code.
What theme companies do you trust? Or are people still just looking on themeforest?

About how much do you charge a client to provide a pre-built WP theme, out of interest?
- "how much money do you earn?"
"how much did your house cost?"
"can i fuck your wife?"detritus - Is the answer is... whatever you can get away withset
- Ok, smartarse - "How much have you managed to get away charging a pre-built WP theme for?"detritus
- I honestly haven't come up with a price yet. This is just phase one of a larger project. They just want something up quick temporarily. I will be building adbloc

- The price usually depends on how much I need to get into that theme and do customization.dbloc

I can totally understand the business case for buying premade themes, sometimes you get clients whose timelines (and budgets) demand something off-the-shelf.
But I don't think I've found a "good" premade theme. Certainly not at Themeforest. They're made to be sold, not to be used. They're full of Features! Plugins! Freebies!
I know there are people out there who develop* sites using nothing but Divi theme. It won't be lean, but it'll be versatile.
* What do you call it when your job is installing and configuring a Wordpress theme, and flowing content through it? It's not development.

ThemeTrust has some nice stuff, and for a premium theme maker, they thankfully do not add a lot of extra crap into it.

I purchased one theme (from theme forest) awhile ago for the client and end up saying fuck it and just going back to my original plan. Just so much bloat it's not even funny. And it required six (6!) plugins to "work." And it was impossible to get the basic things (like a slider) actually set up.
This most recent experience is basically, well, for small clients, I'm done with Wordpress. Just go to Squarespace and call it a day.
- Also use SPRING40 for 40% off any theme at ThemeTrust...skwiotsmith

Thanks all. Any others?

Had a client who used this - http://oshinewptheme.com/
I think you can pick and choose what to install - surely nobody needs 38 variations of the same theme.
