I recently left an agency as Creative Director to go it alone and build up my own business - mainly branding, but also workshops, print, digital - the usual stuff.... Just getting around to doing some business cards, but this applies to everything - web/social etc... and I'm curious what other folks in a similar position put as their job titles?
e.g...
• Creative Consultant
• Creative Director
• Graphic Designer
• Nothing
• something like "Brand. Design. Digital." (i know digital is a given these days but folks still have to ask 'do you do websites')
• Other...?

Had the same dilemma as a solo freelancer. Decided no title was better then some arbitrary title. If you hire staff, makes more sense to have a title.

I don't have an answer for you, I just want to let you know that I'm struggling with the same thing. Beyond the title on your business card, I have trouble describing what I do. People ask, "what do you do?" and I don't have a very succinct answer.
Mostly I tell them I'm a designer or a graphic designer, but after 20 years of work that doesn't accurately describe the breadth or depth of my work.
