So this has been doing the rounds lately but I was too busy to bother. My new daily crack. Thankfully it only allows one game per day.

In case you don't get it, like I didn't a couple of months back when i first didn't bother, you need to input a valid five letter word to use as fodder to guess the intended five letter word.

- The stock rates are a bit imbalanced: I keep refreshing a page until I get a stock which goes to 1. I go all all (buy 25)drgs
- if youre lucky, the stock goes to 250-300 before closure, sell all (remaining 25 turns). My record is 86xx somethingdrgs

- Yeah -- i hit that wall yesterday.. i was trying to think of how to solve but havent really come up with anything concrete. i was thinking....mantrakid
- 1. make the floor higher, so things dont drop all the way to 1..
2. allow a stock to go bankrupt, so its a risk to have a bunch at a low price cuz it could 0..mantrakid - but ultimately i had this sinking feeling that the overall strategy was too simple.mantrakid
- I thought maybe having some way to spend your cash to buy more time / turns might be good cuz then it forces you to keep a reserve of cash for that...mantrakid
- and going all in on a low cost stock could be risky cuz you might be sitting on it too long for it to make a difference / result in cashmantrakid
- but youre right... there really is a lot down to luck at this point, which feels wrong for a game.... i guess i was trying to give a simple stock market feel...mantrakid
- I have a feeling the trends have additive nature (there is a rate of change say -5 and its being added to stock price)drgs
- Instead try multiplicative, say a factor of 0.95 and you multiply the price on every iteration. This way it will be much harder to fall to 1drgs
