- You sent this detritus, mixing you up with him.CygnusZero4
- ok, now zoom into those areas and see whether it still looks pants? If I view that at 150% it looks a bit funky, but when I zoom in it looks ok.detritus
- Did you try outlining?detritus
- At worst - print it out and see. As I say, Illy gets some things a bit off on-screen, especially where rendering 'live data' like transformed text is concerneddetritus

- Ignore the aliased rendering, that's just Illy being crap at live display.detritus
- ..these being screengrabs, not output bitmaps, or whatever.detritus

- But in the top one, the text IS being distorted. Looks stretched to me, and doesnt on the bottom.CygnusZero4
- My main question for Cygnus is, what is displeasing about Warp > Arc?mg33
- The copy is stretched man, you dont see it? The copy in the AI example is correct, except for some droopy letters.CygnusZero4
- yep the top version is stretching the text to be fair - looks nasty.fadein11

Perhaps illustrator isn't sub-pixel positioning the characters when they are on a curved line? I've gotten similar things when putting type on slight angles.
It looks like detrius fixed it by outlining, which is good anyway before going to print.
