Bueller's Day Off...
Get a fancy car, pick up your friends, drive to the city, park your car (leave a swanky tip), tour the city and visit a sky deck to look down on the city, have lunch at a fancy restaurant (pretend you are someone famous), go to a baseball game, then to the art gallery (get as many selfies of you and your friends standing around), go to a parade (and/or karaoke bar to perform the Wayne Newton's cover of "Danke Schoen" and/or the Beatles' "Twist and Shout"). spend rest of day chilling out in front of a pool, bring back car.- Wrong city, but fun plan.monospaced

Kinda similar to Kreuzberg.

Leave the city and find a nice, peaceful place to stay. I personally love Candlewood Lake, but there are plenty of places on the water.
Taking a 4.5 year old around NY would a huge pain, imho. Just finding a bathroom, etc., is a challenge. It's just dirty, smelly and far from "safe".
Can you pay for cab rides everywhere? Otherwise taking the subway with a little kid would be a hassle (imho).
- far from safe? no it's not! NYC is incredibly safe compared to many large cities, and it's not dirty/smelly unless you're in some far-off slum outside the citymonospaced
- abord mission auto. don't come to NYbklyndroobeki
