I'm not used it yet, it some nice additional features that we have been asking for. Besides that, I'm not a fan of UI or lack of it.

kudos on responsive although the layout breaks,

It's better.

beyond the video implementation that should have been done 6 years ago, it really isn't.

in fact, this is supposed to be a forum about design. fuck it.

It's definitely an improvement and I'm glad to have it playing nicely with mobile but yes... I agree... The design and UX is seriously lacking. Wasn't me..

"wordpress would be better"
What does Wordpress have to do with the design of a site?
Also why do you believe it would better?
Man...

ya its bland and almost ghetto looking but it doesn't matter... this site went to shit a few years ago... the trolling that's happened here for the last several years has gotten outta control.... wayyyy different than back in the old days when NT/QBN started...

I like it - stills feels like home but snappier and all the low hanging fruit seams to have been cleared up

I think I like it. Agree that it feels a little bit "open plan" but the previous version did after the switch from NT.

I saw that QBN was down for a bit a few days ago, had a slight feeling that either some updates or a redesign was on the way.
I like the new layout. Took a few minutes to get used to it, but I think its turned out great. The extra white space gives more focus to content/cat pics. More breathing room.
Was even pleasantly surprised by the 'Newstoday Chime' upon logging in :)
Great stuff, guys!
