Are you collaborators?
Yes. I am his music manager. But we also do visual projects together. I always produce. He directs sometimes. I direct sometimes. He edits. I do post. We have similar talents but different strong suits. Been working together full time and free agents for the last 5 years.Peers?
YesPotential competition?
No. We work together on almost everything. Are you stuck talking about your profession a lot?
Yes. But it doesn't feel like being stuck. since we work for ourselves is just ideas, planning and execution talk. No office drama.Or do they do something totally different and that makes things more interesting?
He's definately the only musician in the house. And I'm the only one who can keep our lives organized and fairly normal. I do a lot of merch production, design, cut and sew projects related to music and entertainment he doesn't do. The slight differences in our roles in projects make for a fun and interesting collaboration. He also brings a fresh outlook to digital projects because he had no traditional digital training - he suggests taking risks I'd otherwise not pursue because rules/ways I've done it before/too long.

NoAre you stuck talking about your profession a lot?
Not stuck. I'm very interested in what my wife does. She is very interested in the company I work for, but not so much my day-to-day.Or do they do something totally different and that makes things more interesting?
Last night I helped her by operating light switches during an audience-participating interactive installation art piece. If someone pull the lever towards shoes, I'd illuminate her box of high heels which she'd worship and eroticise, and if they pulled the lever to the corsets I'd light up her corset and she'd do a performance around the pleasure of tightlacing. She certainly whacks up the interesting factor a bunch. Web Development and Design, not so much.

The girl I live with is a government official but has businesses (mostly music) so we can work on stuff together, currently working on the branding for somat with her. Probably a comfortable amount of overlap for me...

I once got my gf a job at the design company I worked at. we broke up a few weeks later and working there sucked until I left. My current gf just quit her writing job and know she can get a job at the marketing agency I work at. but we both know better.

i met my wife when we both were working in radio, i then moved into video/motion graphic stuff.. she stopped doing radio then moved into health..
then 9 years later, she did a digital journalism degree and has now started to do video..
