So I am working in indesign and exporting out an epub 3.0 file. I cannot take my book and submit it into the ebooks store through apple because I am getting an error very specifically within my TOC.
It is saying that it does not accept <ol> and will only accept <li>.
Where do I find this "generated code" within an indesign document to edit this so i can get this book imported?
Currently working with both apple and adobe - the efforts seem pointless....

wish I could help. every now and then I have to create an ePub, then promptly forget everything and have to relearn for the next time.
Some good resources here:
http://indesignsecrets.com- thanks - have actually been on that site. Maybe I'm doing the TOC incorrectly....rodzilla
- according to this - i shouldn't see any issues - http://blogs.adobe.c…rodzilla
- I remember having to keep playing with the export options to see what worked. it was tediousGnash
- do you know if you did fixed epub or reflowable?rodzilla
- this was CS5 though. I haven't done one in newer versions yetGnash
- nice resource, btwGnash
- it was fixed a lay-out book. twas a painGnash
- also according to this video - they resolved these issues.... fucking liars https://helpx.adobe.…rodzilla
- yup. liars. But to be fair, so many variables. That woman knows her stuff - Anne-marie, I meanGnash
- true, too many variables. surprised they are even trying to support it
rodzilla - my sentiments, exactly. One day, though, it just may workGnash

possible hacky solution
.epub is a packaged text format... it's got a manifest xml file and some other stuff (cover graphic), and an HTML formatted text file all in a .zip archive. So you can change the text in a text editor.
1. Change .epub to .zip
2. open in a .zip extractor (7zip?)
in there will be a text file which is basically html.
3. find and replace <ol> and </ol> with <li> and </li>4. resave as .zip, change extension to .epub. cross fingers.

I think I have things figured out.
What worked so far - sigil and ecan crusher. ecan crusher actually allows you to rip apart the epub file and get the code out of it. It will then zip it back up into the epub file doc it was previously in. Basically, monNom's suggestion, but a program that actually does it.
Hoping for the best tomorrow when I resubmit on apples site/book store.
