    possible hacky solution

.epub is a packaged text format... it's got a manifest xml file and some other stuff (cover graphic), and an HTML formatted text file all in a .zip archive. So you can change the text in a text editor.

    1. Change .epub to .zip
    2. open in a .zip extractor (7zip?)
in there will be a text file which is basically html.
    3. find and replace <ol> and </ol> with <li> and </li>

    4. resave as .zip, change extension to .epub. cross fingers.

    • yeah - I actually opened the file in Calibre - which is an epub editor. I was able to look at the markup - it had all spans and divsrodzilla
    • divs and zero li's or ol's. so i'm not even sure this would work.rodzilla
