You know how you see a nice wordpress template, and it's all polished and looks really nice, and then you buy that template, and you give it to someone, and they add their own photos to it... all 90 of them, and they add their their own long-ass headlines in BOLD/RED/CAPS/UNDERLINE, and they add their own list formatted content with 130 bullet-points, and the really important ones are BOLD/CAPS/RED/UNDERLINE/ARROWBUL... and that all goes on the homepage, and somehow it just doesn't look as nice as that template you thought you bought?
Well no amount of AI is ever gonna fix that issue.

From TOS...

Hmmm... doesn't seem right, does it?

Was this AI web idea a PR marketing stunt?

I do feel that website design / build services on a smaller level is fading away thanks to services like this, and SquareSpace.
It's for the best, because those small clients are typically more trouble than they're worth.

The idea that you can input a vague suggestion like "I want to sell more widgets" and the site will construct the layout using "AI" doesn't sound believable. In reality it will be probably be choosing between a number of predetermined templates that are combined based on the options you choose.
Having said that, I'm sure there is a place for services like this, or Squarespace. But even for a very basic small business site, the client will quickly get to a point where they want some custom feature that isn't covered by the template system.
- this is nothing like Squarespace - but I know what you meanfadein11
- I'm not convinced it's really that different. It looks like it just abstracts the process so that you are making the design choices at a higher level rather than tweaking individual elements. Having said that I didn't pay the $99 to sign up :)ukit2

Oh dear... talk about not managing expectations from the start. They look like idiots now.
It all seemed to good to be true.
Shame.
