FBI’s Vetted Info Sharing Network ‘InfraGard’ Hacked
InfraGard, a program run by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to build cyber and physical threat information sharing partnerships with the private sector, this week saw its database of contact information on more than 80,000 members go up for sale on an English-language cybercrime forum. Meanwhile, the hackers responsible are communicating directly with members through the InfraGard portal online — using a new account under the assumed identity of a financial industry CEO that was vetted by the FBI itself.

Mortgage giant Mr. Cooper using alternative payment options after cyberattack
Texas-based mortgage giant Mr. Cooper is offering customers alternate ways of paying off loans after a cyberattack on October 31.

The company claims to have more than 4.3 million customers and is the largest non-bank mortgage servicer in the U.S. It provides servicing and originations for homeowners throughout the country and manages a servicing portfolio of $937 billion.

Fridges in French supermarkets hit by cyber attack
Hundreds of French supermarkets have been hit by a cyber attack that caused their fridges and freezers to heat up, spoiling fresh and frozen food estimated to be worth millions of euros.
Hackers reportedly gained control of the software that regulates the temperatures of the refrigeration units, forcing some to warm to 50C (120F) overnight.
