But go to Banff if you can go late spring/summer. It's busy, but it's amazing.

Going next week for the first time, as long as WestJet doesn't shit the bed. Staying near Davie and Burrard. All the recos in this thread are 10 years old, so where should we eat?
- Eating here is best aspect, all sorts of great joints all over, little ramen houses, sushi joints, Greek, Ukrainian, soul food, you’re in the butter zone babyprophetone

- I used to frequent Japadog truck when I worked downtown: https://streetfoodap…prophetone
- WestJet will almost certainly shit the bed********
- If you want to try real REAL Canadian cuisine, be sure to hit up: Earl’s, Joeys, and White Spot. And any generic fake English pub********

WestJet did not shit the bed, but Flair (our return flight) did—we got home 13 hours later than expected.
We didn't end up eating anywhere anyone suggested, in part because some didn't align with where we were or what we were seeing that day, but mainly because Vancouver doesn't seem to have anything we don't have here in Toronto, so nothing really leapt out as must-eat.
Recommended: Ongba on Denman (Vientamese) and Banana Leaf on Davie (Malaysian). Nothing groundbreaking, but good food and service.
