I have a friend/photographer in NYC that has one, fucking loves it. I think that he takes it to bed. Barely let me touch it. To be fair, I was eating pizza.

It's versatility is unmatched and though it has it's quirks the positives well outweigh the negatives. Some people have made a stink about the d-pad on the back being mushy, the ISO dial having an un-needed locking mechanism and there are some proven issues with a light leak when the accessory door is open.
These things don't bother me a bit, It may be the last camera I buy for a very long time (cough...says the serious GAS sufferer).
- how is the battery life? did you come from Canon or Nikon DSLRs? how many batteries do you own for this now?HijoDMaite

A good friend of mine who has used a ton of Nikon FX gear just got one and absolutely loves it, especially the lighter weight. He also has a massive collection of Polaroid and other old cameras, so he might like the size of it quite a bit based on those.
I've been planning an upgrade from my Nikon D90 for a year now, just waiting to save a bit more to get a D610 and some new lenses. But he really got me to reading about the XT1 and considering that as a possible upgrade.
What I'm really looking for is evidence that photos can print at a large size at high quality, which I think is possible given it's 16MP vs. my D90's 12MP I think? Going to an FX Nikon has been my plan for a while for improved quality, but trying to put some thought into the XT1

I have a few pieces of Fuji glass that I use with it and couldn't be happier with the product. The 27mm pancake is great for street and travel use, it makes the whole camera damn near pocketable.
- Nice. I really want to try one out to see how the size feels in my hand.mg33

Sold my Canon 5D Mark ii. Now shoot with the x100s and this X-T1 (w/ 35mm and 56mm) along with a couple of film cams. I, too, sleep with my X-T1. Get it. Or wait for the XPRO 2. Next on the list is the 23mm 1.4.
- I have the 23mm as well but due to the marginal performance over the 27mm (and that it's freakin huge) it gets very little play any more. That said, he bokeh it produces is worth every penny.jdascher1200
- < I thought the new 23mm 1.4 was just perfect? whats wrong with it?HijoDMaite
- AUTOGRAPH can you post some sample photos with the X-T1 and both lenses?HijoDMaite
- will do...tomorrow. or tonight...not at home base at the moment.AUTOGRAPH

Aesthetically, I like to boxy shapes of the x-e2 better. Which fuji lens is ideal for taking photos of reference models for illustrating later?

Do they offer a Macro lens for the X-T!?
- There's a 60mm macro fuji lens I thinkpinkfloyd
- been reading that telephoto and macro are not this camera's strong suits (yet)HijoDMaite
- In addition to the 60mm the lens adapters work wonders for macro and the manual focus on the newer Fujis is spot on.

I've seen a lot of people on some forums asking if you could be taken seriously with this as your main working camera (if you're doing jobs that pay, for example). I've seen some people saying that the camera itself is a good conversation starter with clients too.
Obviously it's the skill of the photographer and the quality of the photo that matters, but any thoughts on perception of this as a main camera if you're doing photo work alongside other people with true DSLR gear?
- I don't think many clients are that concerned with a photographer's choice of equipmentmonospaced
- as long as their work is goodmonospaced
- dr. mono is also an expert on photographypinkfloyd
- dude, I hire photographers all the time, and their perception doesn't go down if they have a new cameramonospaced
- also, I started with "I think" because it's my opinion... you don't have to be a rotten cunt about itmonospaced
- Are you going to join the discussion or just talk shit on the side here?monospaced
- I've thought of this too. A big camera usually demands respect and serves better as a "passport" to gain access.HijoDMaite

- I've noticed my models eyes light up when I take out my larger lensepinkfloyd
- Mono, you're apparently an expert on EVERYTHING, accupuncture, photography, design, and 90% of the threads on QBNpinkfloyd
- You're like a fat piece of turd that won't drop no matter how hard you squeezepinkfloyd
- And that's my contributionpinkfloyd

- please... where in the hell did I claim to be an expert on photography?monospaced
- or design?monospaced
- are you really that butthurt that acupuncture is pseudoscience quackery at best? get over it. ;)monospaced

According to Fuji rumors an updated version could be out this month already. Maybe X-T1s? Will probably wait on that one,.

Anyone look at comparing this to an A7r? Obviously different cameras, but the two I look to replace my D800 (eventually)...and really not that different

I love the look of this camera. That said, my wife's growing tired of my desire to buy more gear.

Just sold my 70D with grip this morning. Now needing to sell the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 Art Lens and I'll be ready.

The weather-proofing is the most intriguing thing to me. Sounds like the combination of this lens and the X-T1 you can shoot in the pouring rain and such.
