I never thought about it as an "understated, nondescript style" for the sake of being understated and nondescript. I just like stuff that isn't too trendy, that's still going to be wearable and stylish a few years in the future. Simple oxford button downs, good jeans, heather gray t-shirts, and some good shoes are all I need.

The hipster look has become part of regular fashion now, so the hipsters need something new to be 'cool'. I'm guessing they're all gonna have a shave too.

Normcore is an emerging cultural trend focusing on "coolness that opts into sameness." ... The new term refers to understated, nondescript style. It encompasses the desire to fit in rather than stand out.
Any of you guys sporting normcore?
Is it like whatever I find in my closet -- wow this is fashion
