Quick explanation on how the AI open source wagons will get circled and overtaken eventually by the people who built the wagons... what is wild is this scenario applies to controls within the USA, so it opens up a world where AI open source wagons will be shipped to everyone’s homestead from another land, which you could argue is the opposite of what you might want to happen as the USA as far as control and security, they’re gonna take it away, but that’s smoke and mirrors on the world stage
https://www.instagram.com/reel/D…- You could potentially crystal ball that one day there’ll be open models on par w GPT-6 Astra in the wild, we need to skip the posturing, prepare for that worldprophetone
- A bit of a cold shower reality that I think most people know already:prophetone
- “Several critical U.S. federal infrastructure and defense systems still rely on 1970s-era computer systems and legacy programming languages...”prophetone
- Same goes for a lot of important localized infrastructure, privately-run services, hospitals, etc.prophetone

Now, if you’re ready to get real mad about AI and how it can be weaponized against workers and customers check this out

more info to go along with prophetone's post 2 above:

on the consumer side, you walk up to a McDonalds self serve kiosk or Walmart's and they adjust the price based on your profile,
maybe through your phone data which gives them access to information about where you live, your work, your net worth potentially and adjust the prices in real time accordingly. This is pretty fucked up. I think.
I mean I'm ok with the wealthy paying more for traffic tickets like they do in Norway or paying more for a cup of coffee or an iPhone although, they'll be the first to complain about a 5¢ raise in a cup of coffee anyway, but this goes beyond levelling the field with what you can afford.
Where it becomes scary is that they can potentially track my wife's cycle and raise the prices of chocolates during that time of month and in that case - god help us all. lol
- Linkedin, FB, Adobe, MS, IG, TIKTOK. they all sell your datas. with all the data combined, they have a really good picture who you are.pango
- oh yeah, well I have none of those! Good luck scraping QBN! they'll assume we're all anti-social commie dimwitted cunts!_niko
- loyalty member card from grocery. cookies from website. whatapp and other messaging apps all sell your data. smart TV, smart appliancespango
- Argh fuck that I’m moving to a cave in the woods._niko
- Imagine one day getting denied medicine from your doctor for your health because they pull up your McDonald’s visitdata sheet since your last doc visitprophetone

“We’re not gonna use it for anything other than the greater good for mankind...” but first we’re gonna mount AI cameras to all the garbage trucks effectively turning the entire city of Dallas into a mandatory HOA for all residents
- This is the dystopian future now, look at the story and that woman and her front yard that she got a citation for, sorry, a ‘warning’, look at the photoprophetone
- So the AI says she has litter in her yard, any reasonable human can see in that photo it’s just the decor of rocks and randomness of her hard landscapingprophetone
- But bc the city is either fully trusting AI’s judgement when they bloody well know they shouldn’t, or they let go of staff who could double check w human eyesprophetone
- Good lord.garbage
- So it boils down to in Dallas they want to save a few bucks, trade-off is terrorizing residents w unnecessary, inaccurate warnings, citations to make more $$$?prophetone
- We’re like a step away from those cute robot food delivery carts becoming robot metalhed dogs, roaming suburbs in packs AI scanning everything, everyoneprophetone

- UnholyAntiJesusKreis... what are we doing?Nairn
- There'll be terminator robot police walking down the streets within a few years. Yay.set

- I'm distracted by the bums for sale on the rightset
- i have zero qualms about fucking with these things once they are in my life. small town in canada makes me think ill be behind the curve but damn i cant waitmantrakid
- We're going to see tens of these lined up blocking the veggie aisle, like so many discarded e-bikes, aren't we?Nairn
- @nairn I absolutely guarantee you one will be attacked at this particular location. I could write a novel on the most insane Fred Meyer in Seattle.garbage
- Currently fortified with eco blocks because it used to be surrounded by about 70 RVs, now it's a rotating tent colony. Borders a warehouse that just burned downgarbage
- ..and also a shipyard just over the back fence. I've seen a seagulls eat a crow in the parking lot. If you go early enough, local (Russian?) mob..garbage
- ..will sometimes be doing shady individual car sales. So much more, those robots are toast in Ballard.garbage

- @garbage - We’re neighbors! The wife and I get our groceries at that FM every Saturday morning. We encountered the robot, it was kinda weird. Fully aware of theGreen_Pork
- revolving homeless v. concrete block scenario right along the bike path. But for a deep dive.... What about the the warehouse that’s about to collapse (from a firGreen_Pork
- fire) behind Albert Lee and the odd white hoarder van that usually occupies the SW corner of the parking lot. I live in SLU and work in Ballard. Peace Jet BroGreen_Pork

- Clanker!!!!milfhunter
- @greeny Ha nice. I live directly above Gas Works, so waves from across Union. I could smell that fire from where I live. Haven't noticed the hoarder van..garbage
- ..but so many weird cars there. There's a guy who made the Ectomobile ouf of a white Jeep AND a guy that turned his car into a "I ran over Slimer" mobile.garbage
- A Suzuki that is half made out of wood at this point, a homeless guy with a Mad Max golf cart. Truly a magical place.garbage
- @garbage Thanks for sharing!! Haven’t seen the Ectomobile, Slimer, wooden Suzuki or MM golf cart yet, I’ll be on the lookout. I live next to Canlis @ the DomainGreen_Pork
- I can see Gasworks from the roof of my building. Small world. Cheers Buddy!Green_Pork

Sharing AI progress in mathematics
https://openai.com/index/sharing…
I've gone back and forth about how much AI will change the world but with these latest models, there's got to be some major positive impact right? In terms of scientific discovery, medicine, new technologies etc. It doesn't necessarily require the AI to be capable of huge leaps of originality, you just need to run everything by them again and they will probably pick up all kinds of things humans missed.
- For sure, yes, and I really wanna believe it’s all gonna work out for the greater goodprophetone
- I fear that for the things that matter, cancer, cures, breakthroughs in ways to end pain and suffering for humans, these will exist, available only for the fewprophetone
- It's just crazy to think we could be on the verge of a major transformation of society. I'm not fully convinced yet because it could be the case that AI happensyuekit
- to be really good at math, coding etc. But seeing how capable models like Opus 5.5 are when you point them at technical problems, yuekit
- I think some impact in these fields is inevitable.yuekit
- For sure, it has to eventually... I mean, just look at the stuff on YouTube about the new AI designed rocket engines, organic looking, optimally efficientprophetone
- prophetone1
We want to believe they’re united in this given stakes, could save or end the human race, the smart genius people at AI helms should understand this, be accountable, right?... nope it’s just a competitive blood feud lol
